I just received word that a friend of mine, her teenaged daughter, her daughter-in-law, grandson and granddaughter were in an accident last night. My dear friend and her daughter were killed, the daughter-in-law is brain dead. Grandson is critical and granddaughter is in serious condition. Her husband and son are headed home from Iraq where they were serving as I write this. Please lift this family up to the Lord that he comforts and supports them as they go thru this difficult time. FORT HOOD, Texas - A military jury Thursday acquitted an Army sergeant of premeditated murder in the death of an unarmed Iraqi insurgent who was killed in a village overrun by al-Qaida operatives. The family of Sgt. Leonardo Trevino gasped, clapped and sobbed after the verdict in his court-martial was read. The 31-year-old from San Antonio also was cleared on charges of attempted murder, solicitation to commit murder and three counts of obstruction of justice.
