“Let’s just call a spade a spade. Tennessee is racist. Period,” Lamar said in the video. “Period. Like, Tennessee is racist.” There’s no subtly there… but to ensure clarity she specifically named “white people,” before proceeding to call them stupid. “Most of the Tennesseans who voted Republican are uneducated. So, they don’t even know that they showed up to the polls to vote against their own interest,” she added

Pop superstar Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen failed to persuade the great people of Tennessee on Tuesday. The race was called for Tennessee Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN-07) at around 8:05 pm. She handily defeated her Democratic opponent, former Gov. Phil Bredesen, whom Swift gave a full-throated endorsement....

FULL TITLE: She Exposed Planned Parenthood’s Aborted Baby Part Sales, Now Marsha Blackburn’s Heading to the Senate Heading to the U.S. Senate is one of America’s strongest political fighters for unborn babies, Marsha Blackburn. On Tuesday, Tennessee voters elected Blackburn to an open seat in the Senate. There, she promises to continue to be a fierce opponent of the abortion industry and a champion for unborn babies and moms. She is the first woman elected by Tennessee voters to the U.S. Senate – “and a conservative woman to boot,” Blackburn declared proudly in her victory speech. “Just as I said...

Being mocked on “Saturday Night Live” didn’t hurt—and may have helped— Texas Republican Dan Crenshaw, a retired Navy SEAL and political newcomer who easily won Tuesday his House race. With 87 percent of precincts reporting, Mr. Crenshaw was declared the winner with 53 percent of the vote, besting Democrat Todd Litton, who had drawn 45 percent. Mr. Crenshaw was favored to win the Houston-area seat being vacated by retiring Republican Rep. Ted Poe even before last weekend’s “SNL” episode mocking his appearance spurred a national backlash.

In Tennessee, businessman Bill Lee will succeed Gov. Bill Haslam, a fellow Republican, by defeating Democrat Karl Dean, former mayor of Nashville.

Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker (R) declined to tell a reporter Thursday whether he had voted for Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R) or her opponent, Phil Bredesen (D) in the race to replace him in the Senate when asked about his vote. Corker has endorsed Blackburn, but his support for the Trump-aligned congresswoman is seen as reluctant amid his own criticism of the Trump administration. "I think you know, so, I’ll leave it at that," he told the Nashville Tennessean on Thursday. Though adding of Blackburn, he reportedly said: "Yeah, I endorsed her early on."

Lonely Democrat media (NY TIMES, CNN) still hoping Bredesen can pull it off. In the NY Times poll, it literally says "It’s just one poll, though." Where was that attitude when they were predicting Trump to lose in 2016? 28,607 CALLS on this poll. 593 responses. Marsha Blackburn, the Republican candidate, leads our poll.

If the latest poll from The New York Times/Siena College is any indicator, Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Democrat Phil Bredesen for Senate may have actually hurt his campaign. The Times polled 593 voters across the state of Tennessee between October 8-11 and found Blackburn was leading 54-40 with a margin of error of 4.2 percent. Swift’s endorsement of Bredesen was on October 8th.

She’s really ‘committed’ to that new cause of hers, isn’t she? She couldn’t *possibly* have been just pandering to the crowds after the super-heated partisanship of the Kavanaugh hearings, could she? Yes, yes she could. We say that because for all of her ‘impassioned pleas’ for liberal fans to vote against that Tennessee candidate that ‘scares’ her so, she didn’t even register to vote, herself. At least, her name isn’t showing up in the register. Swift reportedly owns two homes in Nashville, Tennessee, both of which are in Davidson County. She also has several other residences in New York, Beverly...

A top spokesman for the Tennessee Democratic Party's effort to get Phil Bredesen elected senator has said he views "white male" gun owners as "the biggest terrorist organization on the planet." . . . Brown's extreme views on Republicans were showcased this summer by the Free Beacon, which identified numerous inflammatory posts on social media. In one post Brown wrote, for example, "F**k reaching out to Trump voters, The idiots aren't listening."

James O'Keefe's Project Veritas Action has caught Tennessee Democratic candidate Phil Bredesen's campaign staffers admitting on tape that the supposedly moderate politician is actually pulling a political ruse over Tennessee voters by claiming to support President Trump's agenda as well as lying about his would-be vote for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh had he been in senate. In a roughly 10 minutes long video released on Wednesday night, undercover operatives for James O'Keefe recorded a Bredesen campaign field organizer by the name of Will Stewart calling the people of Tenessee "ignorant" and claiming his candidate only announced support for Brett...

Project Veritas Action Fund has released a second undercover video from campaigns during this 2018 election season. This report exposes Tennessee staffers from Phil Bredesen’s U.S. Senate campaign revealing his willingness to court moderate voters through deceit. This was especially evidenced by Bredesen’s recent statement suggesting he would, if he was already in the Senate, vote to confirm now Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Here's a sampling of headlines today from what are generally respected outlets: Buzzfeed: "Taylor Swift's Instagram Post Has Caused A Massive Spike In Voter Registration" Daily Beast: "Taylor Swift: Voter Registration Spike Follows Star’s Political Awakening" Washington Post: "Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Democrats causes spike in voter registrations" Variety: "Taylor Swift’s Political Comments Lead to Spike in Voter Registration" I'd give the Daily Beast a little credit for hedging some, but then there's the lede: "Taylor Swift’s first foray into politics appears to have produced impressive results." All the outlets made the same argument: that, a.) there was an increase in voter...

Vote.org says it has seen an unprecedented flood of new voter registrations since Taylor Swift on Sunday broke her career-long silence on politics to encourage her 112 million followers to register to vote. “We are up to 65,000 registrations in a single 24-hour period since T. Swift's post,” Kamari Guthrie, director of communications for Vote.org, told Buzzfeed News in a report published on Monday night. “Vote.org saw [Tennessee] registrations spike specifically since Taylor's post," Guthrie continued. According to Guthrie, the nonpartisan website has seen 5,183 voter registrations in Tennessee so far this month, and at least 2,144 of those voter...

Republican Marsha Blackburn has surged to an 8-point lead over Democrat Phil Bredesen in a new CBS poll of Tennessee's U.S Senate race — a bounce that coincides with the nation's furious debate over the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The poll, released Sunday, found Blackburn, a conservative Williamson County congressman, with support from 50 percent of registered voters in Tennessee, compared to 42 percent for Bredesen, a former two-term Tennessee governor. It comes as the pollster says this race and others where Democrats are seeking to win in traditionally Republican states have "nationalized." The collection of polls...

Taylor Swift has broken her long-held public political silence in an Instagram post encouraging her followers to vote in the November midterm elections and slamming Republican Tennessee representative Marsha Blackburn. “In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” Swift began the post, which was accompanied by a moody, black-and-white photo of the superstar. “I always have and always will cast my vote based on which candidate will protect and fight for the...
