Chicago’s self-professed “progressive” Democrat mayor, Brandon Johnson, announced a new task force to study plans to dole out slavery reparations to the city’s black community, even as Johnson struggles with low approval ratings. Desperate to find his way out of his low approvals, Johnson announced the new task force during his Juneteenth address. The committee is reportedly being funded by the $500,000 dollars set aside for the purpose in the recent budget negotiations, WFLD-TV reported. The divisive mayor insisted that “investing in blacks is not a crime.” Warner Todd Huston

The former assistant city attorney of Atlanta, who was also a life advice podcaster has been jailed for seven years after fraudulently obtaining approximately $15 million in COVID relief loans. Shelitha Robertson, 62, used the illegally gained funds to splash out on luxuries such as a 10 carat diamond ring, a Rolls Royce and a motorbike. The former police officer had obtained the money under the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), a federal stimulus program that was set up during the pandemic.

Progressive 'Squad' member Rep. Cori Bush is continuing to dish out cash to her security guard husband despite a federal probe into her alleged misuse of campaign funds for security purposes. Her most recent Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing reveals her campaign paid her husband Cortney Merritts - who works as her personal security guard - $15,000 in the first quarter of 2024. That brings the total amount she has paid him to over $135,000. Bush has regularly paid Merritts $5,000 a month since January 2022, her filings indicate.

New York Democrat Representative Jamaal Bowman is co-funding a $14 trillion reparation bill against the federal government, citing ongoing systematic racism, American slavery, and the aftermath of it. Mayor LaToya Cantrell of New Orleans remarked how targeted Black leadership appeared to be while addressing federal investigations against her on Wednesday. During one of the mayor’s latest press conferences, Cantrell, a Democrat, was asked whether she received a target letter related to ongoing investigations against her for ethical violations. While she did not respond to the question directly, she commented on her history of investigations. "What I will say, as it relates to investigations, targeting all of that, and as I’ve given it thought… when I came in, even being elected mayor and even prior to that, the city...

A California reparations task force leader has ordered taxpayers to pay their 'sin bill' and fork out because of 'what has been done to black people'. Dr Amos Brown, the vice-chair of California's reparations task force, said people need to 'chill out' about the group's radical proposals, which includes handing cash payments to black residents of up to $1.2 million. 'You cannot put a dollar sign on what has been done to black people,' he added to Fox News. 'Our sin bill in this nation has been so high, and because of the long years of doing nothing, the interest...

A college professor has argued that black workers should get paid time off when someone in the black community is tragically killed, even if they have no direct connection to them. Dr Angel Jones, who teaches at Southern Illinois University, argued that black teachers ought to be eligible for 'black bereavement leave' because the grief process for the community in the wake of public tragedy can be tough. The professor said she recently burst into tears when she had to email her students in the wake of Tyre Nichols' death - who was beaten to death in Memphis, allegedly at...
