Thought a lot about John McCain’s funeral and here are my observations. The McCain family loathes President Trump and Meghan McCain’s eulogy incorporated that sentiment. She was emotional in remembering her father so we should all respect her thoughts even if we disagree. George W. Bush also is not a fan of Trump’s but his remarks had no malice. Barack Obama gave the most political address. A brilliant orator, the former President can be disingenuous. His assessment that the American press is “independent” is astonishing. Mr. Obama basically received lap dog coverage and STILL had no use for the scribes....

Bill O'Reilly had a little fun at Karl Rove's expense on Monday night. While appearing on "The O'Reilly Factor" from Las Vegas, Rove whipped out his whiteboard to drive home some points about the upcoming midterm election. When the political strategist finished, O'Reilly warned him not to bring the whiteboard into the casinos. "I don't gamble," Rove said. "With your prediction record, that's a wise move," O'Reilly cracked. "Y'know that was personal and petty," Rove said. "That was personal and petty." "That's me," said O'Reilly. "P and P."

If there was any doubt surrounding Megyn Kelly’s success when she returned from maternity leave, her performance so far this week has put all the haters to shame! On her premiere night, Megyn had Senator Ted Cruz as a guest and did great in ratings. But what’s even more impressive is how she did even better in the ratings on her second night doing the show. In her second night on Fox News’ new primetime lineup, Megyn Kelly clocked the highest adults 25-54 rating across all of cable news, building on her Bill O’Reilly lead-in. My circle of friends and professional colleagues includes many noteworthy persons; lawyers, scientists, doctors, business owners, etc. Many of them are my Mensa buddies. None of them are crazy and none of them are stupid. Some of them are smart enough to avoid politics altogether. Those who do keep up with political issues agree that there is something really fishy about Obama’s history. MANY WHO SUPPORT Terri Schiavo's threatened dehydration assert that removing a feeding tube from a profoundly cognitively disabled person results in a painless and gentle ending. But is this really true? After all, it would be agonizing if you or I were locked in a room for two weeks and deprived of all food and water. So, why should we believe that cognitively disabled patients experience the deprivation differently simply because they receive nourishment through a feeding tube instead of by mouth?

Liberals are wary of Bill O'Reilly's success with the O'Reilly Factor, and they should be. O'Reilly is influencing an important and massive demographic - TV watchers. Unlike most conservative pundits and politicians, O'Reilly appeals to all types of people with his honest, straight talk approach and slight independent streak. Consequently, he is tremendously popular. He is perhaps the first conservative TV pundit to attract as many viewers as some of the dominant liberal pundits and news hosts. His show currently averages 1.9 million viewers a night, more than Larry King Live, and is still the No. 1-rated cable news show....
