Media Matters Iraq War smackdown: Donahue vs. O'Reilly
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | September 22, 2005 | WorldNetDaily.com

Former television talk-show host Phil Donahue became involved in a heated shouting match last night with Fox News host Bill O'Reilly over continued U.S. involvement in Iraq.

However, much of America was not able to see the verbal wrestling match, as breaking news of the landing of a crippled JetBlue flight in Los Angeles pre-empted a portion of "The O'Reilly Factor" during its live feed.

I only stayed around for the first sentence out of Donahue's mouth, then clicked off..... he began not by addressing any substantive issues but by assailing neocon conspiracies against Cindy Sheehan because she was becoming "too popular"..... since the word was out on the cesspool of Cindy Sheehan and her far-left dingbats before anyone in the country had even heard of her, it was another of the usual moonbat lies to say there is some conspiracy against Cindy Sheehan because the powers that be feel threatened by her..... she's a loon and Phil Donahue is a vicious moron.

Donahue should spend every day of his life asking "How did a douche-bag like me ever become so rich and famous? Ain't it a great country???"

Yes; that what O'Reilly said on his radio show.

I saw some of it. It looked like BO got in one shot and missed. Hate to say it, but Donahue washed over him like water over a levee.

I saw that last night on the 8:00 hour. There's a reason Phil Donohue isn't on TV anymore. That's one angry white guy! Crazy flashing eyes! Somebody should arrest him.

Life is much too short to waste even one second of it watching slime like Phil Donohue. I also turn off Sean when he has his "shoot outs" with "civil rights" slime such as he's had recently. I turn to Bob Grant and Savage and give them the rest of Sean's time and Sean's three hours the next day as well.

I suppose I should add that O'Reilly was ill-prepared to deal with such a fully-loaded ideological blunderbuss.

O'Reilly was dumb to give Donahue air time. Donahue has to resent the beating O'Reilly gave him in the ratings.

When Donahue brought up Glick ((background) it was a deliberate and successful move to provoke O'Reilly.

This is the same thing that happened with O'Reilly and Al Frankin. O'Reilly gave Franken a big publicity bump with their feud. Not many pay attention to Donahue anymore. He is remembered as an icky touchy feely type that used to be on TV and in Frankin's case, not many ever paid attention to him.

Donahue's career is over and Frankin's was tanking, (anybody watch SNL and think he was funny..Stuart Smalley...snicker maybe but no laughs?).

All O'Reilly has done was pump up these creeps.

Just watched the re-run. I don't think I was too far off the mark. I will take back my comment that Bill missed. He really hit the target, but it was more like bursting a pinata with a broomstick.
