Legal service providers help individuals navigate immigration court proceedings. The Department of Justice, under new leadership following the inauguration of Donald Trump, has told legal service providers who receive federal funding to stop providing legal orientation and other work intended to support immigrants at immigration courts. In a memo obtained by ABC News, the DOJ ordered all such legal providers on Wednesday to "stop work immediately" in those areas. "This email is to send you notification to stop work immediately pursuant to the Executive Order on the following task orders," the memo said. The programs listed in the memo include...

NPR host Maria Hinojosa said on this week’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Sunday Show” that Latinos who support former President Donald Trump “want to be white.” Host Jonathan Capehart said, “This is from this Telemundo poll, that shows a shrinking majority of Latino voters in favor of the Democratic candidate.” He asked, “Vice President Harris at 54%, she has a 14 point lead but it has been shrinking after each consecutive presidential election from 2016. Why is that? Why is the Democratic share of the Latino vote shrinking?” Hinojosa said, “What I said to you when we asked the question...

With the latest report from Axios, maybe open borders Republicans such as GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley and former President George W. Bush can dispense with the claim that Hispanic immigrants are, down to a man, “natural conservatives” with “good family values” because so many are pew-warming Catholics. Axios reports that American Hispanics are increasingly embracing the demonic; i.e. practicing witchcraft and returning to their “roots.” News reports during the last few years confirm it, and at least one state, California, encouraged the satanic practice by approving public-school prayers to false Aztec gods. But young “Latinos” aren’t the only demographic...

Los Angeles mayoral candidate Rick Caruso insisted he's not white, but really Italian — and thus "Latin" — during an awkward debate moment Tuesday in the nation's second-largest city. In bringing up the ongoing scandal, Telemundo anchor Dunia Elvir stated: “The next mayor of Los Angeles will be either an African-American woman or a white man." “I’m Italian,” Caruso interjected. Elvir responded, “Italian American," as Caruso insisted that his racial identification be stated on his terms. “That’s Latin, thank you,” Caruso said.

The crew at Telemundo News earnestly joined their mainstream media counterparts in the collective meltdown over the Supreme Court´s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. Yet, in the case of anchor Felicidad Aveleyra, her eagerness to condemn the end of federalized abortion rights, led her to break two holy commandments of the abortion-loving, pronoun-obsessed liberal media: calling women, women- as opposed to birthing people- and babies, babies - and not ‘products’, as they’ve been known to refer to the unborn at Telemundo. Here we can see a solemn Aveleyra, dressed in mourning black, vent her disappointment at “our modern country...

A new Miss Universe has been crowned and she is a climate alarmist. Ironically, the winner is Harnaaz Sandhu who represents India, one of the worst polluters on the planet. On December 12, the 70th Miss Universe contest aired on Fox. The host, comedian Steve Harvey, instructed the contestants to draw a name from a bowl. The name of one of the celebrity judges was on the slip of paper. That judge then asked a question to the contestant. During the question-and-answer segment with the five finalists, Miss India was asked how she would convince people who think global warming...

I'm so furious that I'm about to throw a shoe at my TV screen. Right now, I'm watching the pre-show on Telemundo for the Miss Universe Pageant, which will be broadcast from Israel tonight at 8PM on FOX and on Telemundo.Since it's the 70th anniversary of the pageant, the hosts of the pre-show are reminiscing through the decades and analyzing all of the owners and host countries. When the got to Trump's tenure (1996-2015), one of the hosts, Lupita Jones (who was Miss Universe 1991, representing Mexico) went on full blast, saying that Trump offended and alienated all Latin Americans...

The now-former spokesman for District of Columbia Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser told Fox News on Wednesday that President Biden's tenure in office has led him to change party affiliation and also to vote for GOP businessman Glenn Youngkin in the off-year gubernatorial election in Virginia, where he resides. Victor Jimenez told "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that his political shift was not a small decision, adding that he was until recently the "lead public information officer at [Bowser's] office for community affairs" and previously in a similar role for Latino outreach. Jimenez, who is an Afro-Dominican immigrant according to a tweet from...

There’s new reason to think the Democrats’ presidential candidate is being scripted through his — increasingly rare — interviews with the press. In a moment that’s thus far escaped public notice, Biden, speaking last week with Telemundo’s Jose Diaz-Balart, at one point halted mid-answer, appeared confused, and gestured to someone off camera, saying, “I lost that line.” Biden was in the middle of explaining how he would suspend deportations should he become president. Even more bizarre, Diaz-Balart then tells Biden — in a tone that doesn’t appear meant for broadcast, “Yeah, OK, that’s good, because we can talk you and...

A round of layoffs has hit two Telemundo units – morning show “Un Nuevo Día” and Telemundo Deportes. According to sources, at least six people were cut from the morning show. Among them, a writer, an editor and producers, including L.A.-based Paco Haro, who coordinated live shots and produced for the show’s three west-coast reporters. The number of job losses in the sports division is less clear, but according to one source, they may be slightly larger than those experienced by “Un Nuevo Día.” A company spokesperson would not confirm the number of layoffs, but issued the following the statement...

A slate of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates hammered President Trump Friday for his administration’s efforts to add a citizenship question to the census. Speaking at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO) Presidential Campaign Forum hosted by Telemundo, the candidates panned the question as an effort to undercount immigrant communities and possibly reduce their resources and representation in Congress. The census will help determine the number of congressional seats and electoral votes each state gets, making it critical to how votes will be counted in the decade after it is taken. The prospect of a citizenship question’s...

President Donald Trump made a series of false statements in an interview that aired Thursday on Spanish-language network Telemundo. Most notably, Trump repeatedly claimed that he had "inherited" an Obama-era policy of separating migrant children from their parents. In fact, he instituted the policy. Family separationTrump said former president Barack Obama had left him a family separation policy. "When I became president, President Obama had a separation policy," Trump said. "I didn't have it. He had it. I brought the families together. I'm the one that put 'em together." Interviewer José Díaz-Balart challenged Trump on the assertion, pointing out that...

Garrido was interrogated for six hours and then let go, but the kidnappers kept his equipment. Univision anchor Jorge Ramos was detained in the presidential palace of Miraflores in Caracas on Monday, after an interview with embattled President Nicolás Maduro was abruptly ended. But some are growing impatient, and believe their best option is to plan a mass crossing. “Most of us, yes, we want to be on the other side,” Jorge Molina, a Honduran migrant, told Telemundo. “Some want to jump over the wall, others to go another way, and others want to wait and see what kind of response they get.”
