I'm so furious that I'm about to throw a shoe at my TV screen. Right now, I'm watching the pre-show on Telemundo for the Miss Universe Pageant, which will be broadcast from Israel tonight at 8PM on FOX and on Telemundo.
Since it's the 70th anniversary of the pageant, the hosts of the pre-show are reminiscing through the decades and analyzing all of the owners and host countries. When the got to Trump's tenure (1996-2015), one of the hosts, Lupita Jones (who was Miss Universe 1991, representing Mexico) went on full blast, saying that Trump offended and alienated all Latin Americans after what he said about Mexicans. She was the Director of the Miss Mexico National Pageant in 2015, and she withdrew her candidate from the competition due to Trump's comment.
Is there any show on TV that won't be critical of Trump? He's been gone since January, but he still lives rent free in some people's minds. HE WAS TALKING ABOUT ILLEGALS!!! GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK, BOTOX-LADEN AND HAIR-TINTED SKULL, LADY!!!
I have to say that a positive comment was made about Trump in a segment narrating the Latin American winners of the Miss Universe Pageant. The narrator said [paraphrasing]: "... And during the tenure of Mr. Donald Trump as owner of the Miss Universe Pageant, the competition saw the majority of Latin American winners. In the 20 years that Trump was CEO of the pageant, 10 Latinas were crowned Miss Universe." I could not believe when I heard this positive comment and wish that I had taped it.
