Amazingly, President Bush said he wanted to close it. Now President Obama has signed an executive order to close it. Both are wrong. We should keep the detention center at Guantanamo Bay open. I have been to Gitmo to visit with the U.S. Marines running what is an essential institution for the security of a free world. The Marines with whom I spoke told me they would never turn their backs on any of the dangerous terrorpunks held there. Job No. 1 of the president is to keep the United States safe. These religious psychos, barbarians, killers and terrorists held...

Barack Obama jumped over a bunch of longer-experienced presidential candidates to win the White House, so will that pattern take at the National Rifle Association? It might, considering rocker and hunter Ted Nugent's popularity among NRA members. We hear that the Nuge is being urged to get into the race, and a key NRA insider tells us: "He does have a grass-roots following." That's for sure. The singer of "Cat Scratch Fever" fame and 23 albums is being promoted on Facebook. While Nugent is an NRA board member, he doesn't have the type of top slot in the organization normally...

Like other entities that abandons basic quality control, political parties rot from within. It happened to the Democrats long ago. Now that has become the case with a Republican Party that has strayed from its conservative underpinnings. There are really only four things to which I have a strong aversion: unloaded guns, dull knives, banjos and Republicans in Name Only (RINO). RINOs feign support for conservative principles only when it serves their political interests. They are known for their moderate positions, such as tax increases, gun control that guarantees more innocent victims, opposing the death penalty, and growing and sustaining...

I’ve got a big problem with newspapers who put American lives at risk by publishing our nation’s secrets. But that’s nothing compared to what I think should be done to the people -- trusted people within our government -- who leak our secrets. If I can borrow a little from by blood brother Willie Nelson, we should send ‘em all to their Maker and he’ll settle ‘em down. Government employees entrusted with our national secrets are morally, ethically, logically and legally required to keep them secret. Those employees who intentionally leak national secrets should -- no, must -- be charged...

Before the election, Howard Stern's Sirius radio show conducted interviews in Harlem, N.Y., in which the interviewer, not identified with the show, recited John McCain's economic proposals but portrayed them as Barack Obama's. Not knowing whose ideas they actually were, these people raved and gave them their full support. The election of Obama is an example of Americans voting against their own self interest. It's also further evidence of the dumbing down of America. Trying to explain how our economy works and why lowering taxes is always better for them and America than imposing higher taxes is an economic bridge...

From the Halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli, all across America and in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever America is being defended, the world’s most exclusive gun club is the celebrating its 233 birthday today. Born in a roughneck Philadelphia bar in 1775 on a dare to surpass standard warrior excellence, the United States Marines Corps has distinguished itself over its history as the finest military force the world has ever seen. Do not point the US Marines Corps at anything you do not wish conquer. They are the pointy end of America’s spear. The Devil Dogs are always...

OK. This is it. The big day has arrived. Do or die. The moment of truth, the big Kahuna, where “we the people” of the one and only experiment in self-government in the history of humankind get to step up to the plate and give it our best shot as individual participants in this grand "American Dream" of independence and autonomy. Election Day has arrived, my fellow Americans, and it is now that we shall see just what we are made of. Pull the lever, take your shot. There is no take two. I am as frustrated and disenfranchised as...

Tune in, Ted Nugent will be on!

Over the course of a 40 minute phone conversation rock legend and conservative firebrand Ted Nugent discussed his new book, Ted, White and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto, his charity work, the state of the presidential race, gun control and even Mayor Bloomberg's attempt to change the term limit laws. Nugent is planning two new books, including a tell-all on his rock lifestyle slated for 2010. "I'm a pretty exciting young man, at the tender age of 60," said Nugent, adding that the perfect response to almost any situation is a big "xxxx you." Here are some highlights.

NUGENT: IF I WERE PRESIDENT . . . October 10, 2008 -- THOSE who say John McCain and Barack Obama waffle on the issues should vote for gun-toting, meat-loving rocker Ted Nugent, who makes no bones about what he'd do as president. "[I'd] instruct the US military warriors to do their job - win the global war on terror right now and eliminate all threats from all sources by any means necessary," Nugent writes in his new book, "Ted, White and Blue." He'd also "take appropriate gas and oil from Mexico and the Middle East as payment for all...

The 1960s marked the rise of hedonism — the "if it feels good, do it" generation. A cursory review of what came afterward tells a haunting story. Teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, school dropout rates, drug use, divorce, youth crime and other social maladies escalated. We poisoned our culture and society when we began caring more about ourselves than the collective good of society at large. Values, mores and standards—the very things that make a just and civil society—were carelessly tossed aside in favor of reckless abandon. There are consequences for actions, something liberals and the hippies carelessly ignored at...

UPDATED): While Senator Obama was giving his acceptance speech at Invesco Field in Denver to tens of thousands of Fedzilla supporting numbskulls, I was busy pummeling musical fun gluttons at the New York State Fair with my R&B spirit-infested guitar as I’ve done over 6,000 times so far in my gravity-defying career. My ace crew taped Senator Obama’s speech so that I could watch it after I got off stage and now I’m slamming this out on my laptop. I won’t go away. Write that down. Again. Before I slice and dice the Obaminator’s speech, let’s get one thing clear....

Similar to communism, socialism, fascism, and religious voodooism, liberalism is a political cancer designed to control you, not liberate you. Liberalism is based upon the theory that government—and lots of it--knows better than you what is best for you. Liberals believe you are too stupid to make wise decisions for yourself. The entrenched liberal paradigm is to grow and sustain Fedzilla, the amorphous blob that is gobbling up more and more of our tax dollars and in the process, becoming more and more unresponsive and unaccountable to its employers—you and me, the American taxpayer. No one who’s smarter than a...

Four of nature’s most powerful forces to reckon with are a sow grizzly with cubs, a coiled rattlesnake at close range, Ted Nugent driving a rental car, and Rush Limbaugh seated in his command module ensconced behind the golden “EIB” microphone. Surely one of life’s greatest rewards is driving idiots and intellectual cotton balls of all political stripes berserk by simply being who you are. As C.S. Lewis once wrote, “Enemy occupied territory -- that is what the world is.” In other words, we live in a target rich environment. No human alive has caused more angst and frustration to...

Exclusive: US rocker Ted Nugent's outrageous rant on UK knife crime By Jody Thompson, 17/07/2008 (What's this?)American rock star Ted Nugent has followed in Lily Allen's footsteps to be the latest celebrity to comment on the UK's knife crime problem. However, unlike Lily, he's set to spark controversy with his outrageous views. An advocate of hunting and gun-ownership rights, Nugent currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association and thinks the problem would stop if Britons were allowed to arm themselves with guns. Talking mid-set during his gig at London's Indigo venue in the 02 Arena...

I have a few questions for those running for president and expect some answers. After all, the winner will be my employee, serving "we the people," pledging an oath to the U.S. Constitution. * America is $9 trillion in debt. Does this concern you, and if it does, what would you specifically do to work toward eliminating this debt and shave the flagrant waste and corruption of out-of-control bureaucracies? * Do you think too many Americans receive a paycheck, one way or another, from the government? * Do you believe the average American is taxed too much, not enough or...

As I swab down one of my hundreds of privately owned, individually possessed firearms again this fine morning, I snicker and shake my head in disbelief that there are four "justices" on the "supreme" court that do not believe Americans have individual rights. Sure, I am somewhat pleased that we now have a SCOTUS confirmation of the self-evident truth and God given individual right to keep and bear arms, but the 5-4 ruling is another painful example, like Guantanamo and the decree against the death penalty for child rapist decisions that indicate a divisive culture war raging on, and four...
