In response to the political assassination of national hero Charlie Kirk and the disturbing rise of leftist violence across the country, Attorney General Ken Paxton has launched undercover investigations into various groups affiliated with left-wing political violence known to be operating in Texas.
“Leftist political terrorism is a clear and present danger. Corrupted ideologies like transgenderism and Antifa are a cancer on our culture and have unleashed their deranged and drugged-up foot soldiers on the American people,” said Attorney General Paxton. “The martyrdom of Charlie Kirk marks a turning point in America. There can be no compromise with those who want us dead. To that end, I have directed my office to continue its efforts to identify, investigate, and infiltrate these leftist terror cells. To those demented souls who seek to kill, steal, and destroy our country, know this: you cannot hide, you cannot escape, and justice is coming.”
The radical Left has incubated an environment where political violence is not only justified but celebrated and praised. In July, nearly two dozen armed leftists connected to various Texas-based Antifa-like groups ambushed an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (“ICE”) facility in Alvarado, Texas. On September 10, 2025, a leftist assassin connected to the radical transgender movement murdered Charlie Kirk because of Kirk’s bold support for truth, love of country, and unshakable faith. Two weeks later, another deranged leftist opened fire at an ICE facility in Dallas.
President Donald Trump has officially designated Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization and instructed his administration to “utilize all applicable authorities to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations — especially those involving terrorist actions — conducted by Antifa.” Building on President Trump’s bold actions, Attorney General Paxton has instructed his office to initiate sweeping investigations into radical leftist organizations engaged in or providing support to those performing political violence.

“Undercover”. Like secret operations. Let’s not tell the bad guys about the undercover secret operations, or they’ll be on the lookout for infiltrators. Let’s catch them by surprise. ;)

The local KKK Klavern consisted of 3 FBI agents, 3 State Police undercover officers, 3 Sheriff undercover deputies, and two dumb rednecks who just wanted to drink a lot of beer.
Announcing this may not help as such a declaration is going to put a dent in their recruitment drive.
Much more scrutiny will be inherent for those seeking to join up.
He does, however, say continue the efforts to infiltrate which could mean insiders are already in place.
Internal division through speculations of loyalty.
From what I have heard, their best bet would to be to fencing the city of Austin and slowly shrink the perimeter while evaluating every person they encounter along the way.
Probably would save a lot of time and money.
Not sure how announcing an undercover operation makes it an undercover operation.
Paxton may be conducting a psyop where there is no undercover operation but the targets start imploding on each other because they believe one of them might be undercover.
It is a psyops tactic-announce the undercover operations after the infiltration framework is already in place, done by moles when nobody was talking about that-phones and other media hacked/monitored, meetings bugged/wired, covert agents in position as “members” of antifa, etc. The activists will get frantic to protect the networks from what has already happened-cops can just hide and watch the rats scurry until there is enough evidence to bust them with arrests and indictments...
And then they will suspect that almost anyone can either be an infiltrator, or turned away from the Dark Side.
Anonymous "hints" and rumors could drive them to believe they already have multiple traitors in their midst.
Place large, black SUVs with lots of antennae in their neighborhoods.
Funny how there wasn’t an announcement on infiltrating the Michigan Militia.
