This past week, California Governor Gavin Newsom continued his presidential campaign – I’m sorry, his domestic and international publicity tour – with a visit to China, where he met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other Chinese officials for the purpose of “delivering real climate action and creating opportunities for future collaboration and cooperation.” He toured manufacturing facilities, savored local fare, and even floored a child during a game of basketball. On Friday, Special Counsel John Durham filed a motion relating to a defense firm’s potential conflict of interest in the Michael Sussmann case.
