Free Republic

Here's the deal with pictures: I'm trying to hook up a DVD player to my little t.v. That's it. I followed the directions and nothing is happening. There are yellow, white and red cords and I put them in the holes and nothing happens. Two hours and I still get nothing. FReeper help needed...please.
