BYRDSTOWN, Tenn. (WZTV) — After an eaglet was seen entangled in a fishing line at a reservoir on the Kentucky-Tennessee line, rescue is on the way. The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) was made aware of the eaglets in distress Saturday by FOX 17 News, and multiple agencies have planned an intervention. Due to federal laws preventing disturbance of eaglets in their nest, any attempt to help the eaglets must have federal permitting to occur, which a TWRA spokesperson confirmed has happened. A professional tree climber and arborist will now work to remove the fishing line and evaluate...

But that doesn't mean that it doesn't do a fantastic job at what it is trying to do. This is the classic Disney fare for the young princesses in your family. It has been a long time since Disney has had a successful movie geared specifically for girls (Up, Toy Story series, and...

n the depths of northeastern India, in one of the wettest places on earth, bridges aren't built - they're grown. The southern Khasi and Jaintia hills are humid and warm, crisscrossed by swift-flowing rivers and mountain streams. On the slopes of these hills, a species of Indian rubber tree with an incredibly strong root system thrives and flourishes. The Ficus elastica produces a series of secondary roots from higher up its trunk and can comfortably perch atop huge boulders along the riverbanks, or even in the middle of the rivers themselves. The War-Khasis, a tribe in Meghalaya, long ago noticed...

Unknotting a tangled tale of towels Scientific tests have established that an icon, revered as an imprint of Christ’s face, is 13th century By Martin Bailey Tests on a painting, called the Mandylion, revered as a miraculous imprinted image of Christ, have revealed it to have been made in the 13th century. There are several early versions of the image, but the one in Genoa is the first to have been subjected to a thorough scientific examination. The results are being presented at an exhibition (until 18 July) in the city’s Museo Diocesano as part of the European Capital of...
