My fellow InsiderNJ columnist, Fred Snowflack, authored an excellent column on Monday, August 16 that was a rarity in journalistic accomplishment. It achieved the objective of being both relevantly informative and highly entertaining. In the column, “Christie Tees off on Murphy at Bucco Golf Outing,” Fred described a verbal eruption of former Governor Chris Christie regarding New Jersey incumbent Governor Phil Murphy. In my view, the words of the former governor reflected a highly vitriolic tone. If you do not believe me, read the column yourself: https://www.insidernj.com/christie-tees-off-murphy-bucco-golf-outing/ I find it hard to understand why Chris Christie should feel any bitterness...

The link is to a different story for time's sake of posting this---Look, I love Rush Limbaugh. Especially the past year he was like a companion when I was working from home alone. However, it's time to get back to talk radio, discussion and problem solving. I honestly feel Rush would not like this weeks long tribute to him---I think he'd want to be honored but he'd want us to get back to brainstorming, calling in and making a difference. I have moved on to other talk radio between 12-3....Not out of disrespect but out of Respect for Rush to...

Does it feel like you’re walking on eggshells lately when talking about politics? You’re not alone. A new national survey of 2,000 Americans I conducted at the Cato Institute finds that 62 percent of Americans say the political climate these days prevents them from saying what they believe because others might find it offensive. This share is up from 58 percent in 2017. Notably, self-censorship is not a partisan issue. Majorities of Democrats (52 percent), Independents (59 percent), and Republicans (77 percent) all agree they have political views they are afraid to share.

I am kind of sick of listening to the same old national radio talk show hosts over and over. I am trying to find new voices who are talking about their cities, but even if they only talk national issues, that is OK as long as they are new voices to me. Here is list of the same old guys I listen to. Tier I Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity Tier II (in alphabetical order) Glenn Beck, Jim Bohannan, Larry Elder, Mike Gallagher, Hugh Hewitt, Brian Kilmeade, Mark Levin, Dennis Prager, Michael Savage, Ben Shapiro Can you please help me find...

Representative Elise Stefanik appears on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo to discuss her perspective on the impeachment inquiry. As with all other republican members, including ranking member Devin Nunes and interim member Jim Jordan, Mrs. Stefanik has no idea where the Pelosi, Schiff and Lawfare goes from here. Everything seems up-in-the-air.

I received wonderful news Monday. Talkers magazine -- the Bible of America's radio industry -- named me to their Heavy Hundred list of the top 100 talk radio hosts in the United States. I made my debut at No. 62. And of course, No. 1 in Las Vegas. Think of the numbers involved. I Googled "radio stations." There are about 5,000 AM stations alone (which generally means "news and talk"). Assume the typical station has at least three hosts in its lineup. That's 15,000 radio hosts in America. I just made the top 100 out of 15,000 hosts in a...

The discussions were expected to cover several proposals for improving cooperation along the border area. It's been a flashpoint over the years for Turkish-Kurdish tensions, al-Qaida and Islamic State fighters traveling back and forth, and incidents involving major powers including Russia. Reflecting the sensitivity of the talks between Tillerson and Erdogan, only Turkish Foreign Minister Melvut Cavusoglu, serving as translator, also was included in the meeting, which lasted more than three hours. Erdogan's office said the discussions touched on regional developments, including in Syria and Iraq, the fight against terrorism and bilateral relations. "Turkey's expectations and priorities on these issues...

President Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday that dialogue is not the answer to the North Korean nuclear threat. The Trump administration has been pursuing a policy of “maximum pressure and engagement,” which involves strong economic sanctions and diplomatic pressure to bring North Korea to the negotiating table. Trump, however, signaled Wednesday that there is no point in talking to North Korea. "The U.S. has been talking to North Korea, and paying them extortion money, for 25 years. Talking is not the answer!" — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 30, 2017 Last week, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said on Aug. 22...

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu have talked on the phone, diplomatic sources told state-run Anadolu Agency on March 19. The two foreign policy chiefs have discussed the preparations for an upcoming meeting of the Global Coalition working to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), which will be attended by the foreign ministers and senior leaders of the full coalition, now at 68 members. While this meeting will be held at the Department of State in Washington D.C. on March 22, it will be the first time since the establishment...

This week Mark again brought up the fact that Trump did not agree to back the winning Republican candidate. He also criticized RNC chair Reince Priebus for telling those Republican politicians who did support the nominee that they may not receive RNC support when running for re-election.Here is the modus operandi of Mark Levin: He develops personal grudges, then searches for logic to support those grudges. Instead of attacking the RNC chair when he is doing the right thing, and bringing Trump's initial lack of support for the Republican nominee, he should be rallying against the evil, criminal Hillary. He...

Pope Francis on Sunday said he won't label Islam as "terrorist" because that would be unfair and not true. Reporters aboard the papal plane flying him home after a pilgrimage to Poland that began the day after extremists slit the throat of an elderly priest celebrating Mass in a French church, asked him why he never uses the world "Islam" to describe terrorism or other violence. While in Poland, Francis made an unscheduled stop at a church in Krakow to implore God to protect people from the "devastating wave" of terrorism in many part of the world. Francis replied that...

Reports indicate that a supporter of the anti-Israel BDS movement and a self-proclaimed radical who has supported numerous anti-American initiatives has been named the host of a new late night talk show on VH1. Marc Lamont Hill, a CNN commentator, will launch VH1 Live which will begin airing weekly on the Viacom-owned cable network on Sunday, July 17 at 10 PM. Would a supporter of segregation be rewarded with a talk show? How about someone who is fiercely anti-LGBT? It seems that bigotry is only OK if it is directed at Israel. Hill is a staunch opponent of Israel, a...

When you're the most powerful leader in the world, people have a lot of questions they want answered — including the hosts of daytime and late-night talk shows. In fact, President Obama most recently appeared on Wednesday's "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," where he and the host chatted about superheroes, Donald Trump and the World Series. Obama is certainly no stranger to these types of chat-show forums, as he's also appeared alongside Barbara Walters, David Letterman and Oprah Winfrey to discuss current events or simply share a laugh.

In about 90 minutes, Donald Trump will be devastating SeeBS idiot Stephen Colbert. Normally the little weasel's "Late Show" is must-not-watch-teevee but tonight's offering ought to be great as Mr. Trump plays 3-dimensional chess against a leftist peanut brain. Colbert is still mewing and puking from Ted Cruz's jujitsu moves on him last night. Senator Cruz brought a gun to a knife fight but all Colbert had was a spork. This thread ought to be as good of a place as any for FReepers to comment on the unraveling of an unfunny, unintelligent, unhinged leftist by a true zen master,...
