A 3-year-old boy rode his tricycle across a South Side street and into the path of a sport-utility vehicle, a deadly wreck that played out in front the boy's older sister and other neighborhood children, Chicago Police said Monday night. Authorities were interviewing those children, hoping they can catch up with the driver who stopped, got out of the vehicle after the accident and quickly fled, said Sgt. Robert Cargie.
