MOJAVE - An explosion and subsequent fire in an explosive materials storage area at the Mojave Air and Space Port on Sunday morning shut down airfield operations for some 22 hours. No one was injured in the incident. The explosion, in a remote section of the northeast airport property, was reported shortly before noon Sunday, said Bob Rice, airfield operations director.
