  • Authorities on Lookout for 2 Men Seen Videotaping D.C. Subway Station

WASHINGTON -- Metro has circulated an internal memo asking employees to be on the lookout for two men seen videotaping the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station. An internal memo says the individuals were "attempting to videotape inconspicuously, by holding the camera at their side, between their chest and waist." Metro was alerted by a rider who took a picture of the men last week while they were sitting on the train. The alert comes just after the recent arrest of a Northern Virginia man in a sting where he videotaped two Metro facilities for what we thought was going to be...

I hesitate to write this because I don't want to come off as paranoid. But I figured its worth it to share info just in case there really is something in the planning stages. Especially after the church masacre last week in Baghdad, I believe that it is highly possible that a similar attack could take place in the US. Tonight 4 middle-eastern men were seen down our childrens' wing at our church. They were walking briskly and talking in Arabic. A woman spotted them at the other end of the hall. She tried to catch up to them but...

TOKYO, May 19 (AFP) - SNIPPET: "The pilot of the Boeing 747-400 with 407 passengers and crew bound for Minneapolis turned around late Monday about three hours into the flight from Tokyo's Narita airport after crew found the two men who refused to leave the cabin bathroom. Japanese immigration officials were questioning the men, who said they did not have passports."

A friend of mine has been followed by a car three times in a remote area of Wisconsin. The third time he sped up and noticed the car speeding up after him. He slammed on the brakes and got out of the car. Upon reaching the driver of the other car he noticed the person wearing a blue shirt with Dept. of Homeland Security embroidered on it. He also had a county sheriffs dept tag around his neck. Crazy thing is, he asked the security man what he was doing and the reply was nothing. My friend said he was...
  • A troubling incident at my church this week (possible terror-related)

I was just informed of a troubling incident that took place at my church yesterday. A young middle-eastern man came in and asked about our church including questions like "Are your services normally full?" When given a diagram of the building (commonly done to help visitors find their way around) he apparently "lit up" a little. He then left in a blue four door sedan that was waiting for him outside. No one wants to jump to conclusions but we also want to be vigilant and aware. I'm sharing this here since I know alot of FReepers are church-goers. Maybe...

I did a bunch of Internet work on Thursday evening and Friday last week, then went out of town. When I returned on Sunday I could smell a man's cologne in my kitchen and could tell someone had been in my home while I was gone. Nothing was stolen or missing, but I checked with my neighbor who is a retired cop from NY City to see if he noticed any activity at my house. As a matter of fact, his dogs were barking Sunday night and he looked in my driveway to see if my son's truck was there....

SNIPPET: "U.S. Airways flight 4423 was supposed to leave Lynchburg for Charlotte around 2:30 p.m., Airport Director Mark Courtney said. Instead, it was delayed for nearly three hours while Transportation Security Administration workers and local law enforcement made sure it was safe to fly. Campbell County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Kevin Schmitt said a 23-year-old man was overheard on his mobile phone making the comments while he was standing in the airport lobby. “He was overheard by a TSA official making the comment that the plane wouldn’t make it to Charlotte — that it would fall out of the sky,” Schmitt...
