The U.S. has increased its volume of crude oil imports from Russia by 40.6 percent when comparing the two-year average across the first 24 months of the Biden administration against the four-year average of the Trump administration, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s latest data. Ross Perot, the billionaire who shook up the 1992 presidential campaign, has largely remained silent since his emergence on the nation’s political stage nearly two decades ago and as he emerges from the shadows (in part to drum up interest in his forthcoming autobiography) he’s remaining silent about one more thing: The current top candidates running for office.

President George Bush plans to attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference November 17-19 in Vietnam. We applaud this effort by the president to make this historic trip to help foster what we call the “Vietnam Economic Miracle.” Vietnam’s entry to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the granting of Permanent Normal Trade Relations (PNTR) by the U.S. are virtually assured in the next month or two, or, for PNTR, sometime next year. We support the president and congratulate Vietnam on these successes in bringing the government of Vietnam into the greater world of economic cooperation and prosperity. But...

The UnConstitutionality of Citizenship by Birth to Non-Americans By P.A. Madison Former Research Fellow in Constitutional Studies February 1, 2005 We well know how the courts and laws have spoken on the subject of children born to non-citizens (illegal aliens) within the jurisdiction of the United States by declaring them to be American citizens. But what does the constitution of the United States say about the issue of giving American citizenship to anyone born within its borders? As we explore the constitutions citizenship clause, as found in the Fourteenth Amendment, we can find no constitutional authority to grant such citizenship...

Perot Systems to increase workforce in India Perot Systems, the computer services company founded by former presidential candidate Ross Perot, is all set to add about 3,500 jobs in India and move into two new facilities there this year. Most of the growth will come from a call centre and medical claims processing business, whose employee numbers are expected to rise to 2,800 workers from 800, said a report in the Star Telegram, published from Dallas, Texas. Mindy Brown, a spokeswoman for the company, said the expansion was related to acquisitions of two Indian companies made by Perot Systems in...

This is a research request based on a thought inspired by another thread today. When we look at a map of conservatism vs liberalism in America today (typified by the 2000 election), we see the bulk of the nation represented as conservative with a minority area mainly congregated in urban areas. We also know that these urban areas are well known for their social progressiveness. It would be fascinating to see a comparison of the producers vs the consumers. Would the map match exactly? This comparison could be made using tax inflow to the Treasury vs pork outflow. In order...

Reprinted from NewsMax.com Chinagate Scandal DeepensNotra TrulockFriday, Oct. 24, 2003 The FBI has recently announced that China represents the "greatest espionage threat" to this country over the next decade. Media stories about Chinese thefts of sensitive military technologies, commercial secrets and even proprietary corporate data are almost commonplace. Yet the government seems to have a difficult time successfully prosecuting Chinese spies. Most cases over the past two decades have ended inconclusively, without a major conviction. A strange story out of Phoenix, Ariz., might explain some of the difficulties the bureau has had catching Chinese spies. The Associated Press’ John Solomon...

NEW YORK -- Although the Bush administration sees good and bad in the recent trend toward offshore outsourcing, it has no plans to block companies from moving IT jobs to India or other countries. Instead, it plans to focus on developing an economic climate that helps create jobs in the U.S., an administration official said yesterday. "The answer to economic challenges is growth and innovation," said Chris Israel, a deputy assistant secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce, speaking at an Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) panel on IT services outsourcing in New York. He cited the administration's support...
