A 59-year-old man died on Monday after he was stung by a swarm of bees, a Kentucky coroner said. The man, who has not yet been publicly identified, was moving an old bag of potting soil from his porch in Kentucky's Harlan County when the bees came out of the bag, Deputy Coroner John W. Jones said in a social media post. Family members started performing CPR and the man was rushed to an emergency room where he died just before 6:00 p.m. Officials have not said if the man was allergic to bees. "Our heartfelt prayers go out to...

Donald Trump called one-time ally Chris Christie “sloppy” after the former New Jersey governor predicted the ex-president wouldn’t win in 2024 and needled him for losing his re-election bid in 2020 — saying “that loss to Joe still stings.” The war of words erupted Sunday after Christie posted on Twitter that Trump, 76, was the only candidate to “lose to Biden outside of Delaware.” The 45th president shot back that Christie’s 2016 campaign “went down in flames.” Trump who announced his third straight White House run Nov. 15, took to his Truth Social platform to lambaste Christie after his appearance...

A team of former Navy Seals and CIA operatives splash beer on their faces as they prepare to play the part of American sex tourists. They’ll have to maintain laser-sharp focus as they engage in negotiations with some of the world’s dirtiest criminals. One suspicious move or remark could put their whole team at risk and prevent the rescue of dozens of innocent children. This team, known as Operation Underground Railroad, works to prosecute child sex traffickers and to rescue the victims. Heading the team is Tim Ballard — a husband, a father of six children and a BYU alumnus....

A home in the U.K. was invaded by a monstrous colony of wasps, and the infestation was like a scene out of a 1960s Hitchcock movie, a local pest controller said. "I couldn't believe my eyes," John Birkett, an employee at Longwood Services Pest Control, told ABC News today, referring to the nest of an estimated 5,000 wasps. "It was like the horror film 'Birds' but [with] wasps." Birkett said he got a call from the homeowner’s son on Sunday about a nest that had taken over a bed in a spare bedroom in the home in Worchester, Hampshire. The...

A Concord private eye at the center of a Contra Costa County law enforcement scandal admitted that he hired female decoys to drink with men he was targeting in stings that led to their drunken-driving arrests, according to a transcript of his interview with detectives. "It all centered around the introduction of the decoy to the subject," Christopher Butler said, according to a partial transcript of the March 17 interview obtained by The Chronicle. "It had to be what I referred to as seamless. ... And it shows that, yeah, I was very careful in how these things went down....

Sarah Palin isn't taking David Letterman's ratings bait. "The Palins have no intention of providing a rating's boost for David Letterman by appearing on his show," the Alaska governor's rep said in a statement to FOXNews.com. "Plus, it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman."

(WebMD) Taking allergy drops instead of enduring painful shots may someday become an option for people who are allergic to honeybee stings. In a preliminary study, Italian researchers found that putting honeybee venom under the tongue was safe and significantly reduced reactions in people allergic to bee stings . Immunotherapy using the ubiquitous allergy shot is the standard treatment for allergies to everything from insect stings to dust mites. Tiny amounts of the allergens are injected into the patient until tolerance develops. The new study involved a different form of immunotherapy, called sublingual immunotherapy. It involves putting extracts of allergens...

More than 9,000 sex offenders have been arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials through a series of stings called Operation Predator in three years of operation, a 2006 Department of Homeland Security Report says. But some experts are wondering if the efforts are enough to protect innocent American children from being preyed on by returning criminal alien sex offenders. Foreign nationals account for roughly 85 percent of child sex offenders arrested by the operation, which was launched by Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge in July 2003, officials say. And as WND previously has reported, authorities also have linked illegal...

"Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer announced Tuesday that his department will continue undercover bar stings targeting drunken drivers, but some changes were made to the program. The next operation is scheduled for Friday, which is St. Patrick's Day. Police have not yet determined which establishments will be monitored. Dyer said undercover officers will not be positioned inside bars or restaurants. They will only be outside the bars and in parking lots. The chief also said officers — preferably uniformed — will approach people who appear to be intoxicated to dissuade them from driving."

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Sometimes going undercover in Texas means no cover at all. Houston police, long thwarted in their campaign against prostitution by an internal policy that barred officers from removing their clothes, have reaped results by shedding that unwritten rule. The change in tactics that allows vice squad officers to undress in pursuit of evidence is part of a crackdown on suspected brothels that advertise themselves as day spas, lingerie modeling studios, massage parlors and "stress relief clinics." Two investigations using the new rules have resulted in organized crime charges against six business proprietors and dozens of misdemeanor prostitution...
