Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) urged former President Trump and his supporters not to interfere with the legal process as it plays out in Georgia following Monday night’s indictment. “As a nation built on the rule of law, we urge Mr. Trump, his supporters, and his critics to allow the legal process to proceed without outside interference,” the top Democrats in Congress wrote in a joint statement issued late Monday.
