Top Democrats urge Trump, supporters not to interfere with legal process

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) urged former President Trump and his supporters not to interfere with the legal process as it plays out in Georgia following Monday night’s indictment.

“As a nation built on the rule of law, we urge Mr. Trump, his supporters, and his critics to allow the legal process to proceed without outside interference,” the top Democrats in Congress wrote in a joint statement issued late Monday.

Their request comes after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) announced the fourth indictment against Trump since April. The 19 co-defendants face charges related to a conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

Well, we *all* know those patriotic Americans would never cause a ruckus with any decision *they* disagreed with, right?

Nothing legal about the process anymore, so no worries.

They are destroying the Legal Process just to get Trump.
Unless some Judge of stature stands up and stops this, the Judiciary will be irreparably harmed.

They’re going to do the same thing to DeSantis if he’s the GOP nominee.
DeSantis supporters might laugh at Trump but I guarantee you, if Trump goes down, there’ll never be another Republican in the WH again.

The chorus line tells the victims to bend over and let the ghouls do their work.

Arrest both of them.

Georgia Senate - 33 Republicans, 23 Democrats

Georgia House - 102 Republicans, 78 Democrats

Republican Brian Kemp is the Governor of Georgia.

It would be very easy to write and pass an election contestation clemency law.

Kemp would have no future chance of getting elected if he refused to sign an election contestation clemency bill.

Agree. Maybe they will take bullying a bridge too far and that will cause SOME Dem voters to be repulsed by it.
Maybe.

If Trump manages to return, and Republicans strengthen their numbers in 2024 many, many embedded operators need to be charged, including judges . . . especially the FISA judges who issued subpoenas based on demonstrated lies, and who haven’t moved to punish the liars. Entire federal departments need to go unfunded, entire circuit court districts need their funding halved.

They interfere with an election with trumped up charges and they want assurances? I think they should have consequences for their crimes.
