Lindsey O’Brien, Oregon Governor Kotek’s deputy chief of staff, who went on extended leave earlier this year, has officially resigned this week. Lindsey was among the three top staffers who stepped down all at once over Kotek’s push to expand a role for her wife within the Governor’s office. In the past few weeks, Kotek has closed the planned First Spouse office for her wife. Kotek’s wife’s personal aid ($11,000/month) also recently resigned last August. A lawsuit has been filed against Oregon Secretary of State Shemia Fagan and several County governments (Clackamas, Washington, Multnomah, Lane, Linn, Marion, Jackson, Deschutes, Yamhill, Douglas, Coos and Klamath) that alleges voter suppression and failures to address voter fraud complaints. The lawsuit cites a number of examples of what the plaintiffs believe to be evidence for voter fraud and suppression, and also references the 2,000 Mules documentary film produced by Dinesh D’Souza that was released earlier this year. PORTLAND, Ore. — In a short letter issued Thursday, Oregon Governor Kate Brown said it was time elected officials and community leaders come together to condemn the acts in violence in Portland. The letter mentions there is no place for white supremacy or vigilantism in Oregon, but fails to mention the attacks on police or arson fires set by demonstrators inside occupied buildings including the building where Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler lives.
