She's waiting out Chuck Schumer. If the 74-year-old high ranking senator from New York decides to run again (meaning he'd be over 80 at the end of his next term), AOC might decide to skip the Senate and go straight for the White House.
Some former aides to [Bernie] Sanders see Ocasio-Cortez as an heir apparent who could expand his appeal beyond the party's left wing and immediately raise tens of millions of dollars in a presidential race.
Yes, she'd be taking the Bernie Sanders' route to the White House.
And with Democrats in shambles right now, it might be the best possible time to do so.
Ari Rabin-Havt, a longtime Sanders aide, told Axios: 'She has a supporter base that, in many ways, has a larger potential width than Bernie's. She has been in the glare of the spotlight from day one and has the national campaigning experience a lot of other potential candidates are now trying to get.'
He added: 'It would be the height of arrogance to assume she couldn't win the 2028 nomination.'

Sadly, I think AOC would be pretty competitive with the Media highlighting her fake accomplishments every hour.
Please do, I want the Vance/AOC debate to be on a conservative or at least somewhat neutral station.
Her team may be doing this to get the other 2028 Dem POTUS hopefuls to push Schumer into retirement.
Would have the same galvanizing effect on the nation as when Bernie almost got the nomination. If she got the nomination, it could be the death knell of the Democratic Party.
Oh by all means, run as the candidate for the Democrat Party!
