The CDC panel voted to change the universal guidance, which previously recommended the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine for most adults, but Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr still needs to sign off on the change.

he Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) vaccine advisory board on Friday voted unanimously to end the universal recommendation that Americans receive a COVID-19 shot, in favor of individual guidance.

The vote occurred on the second day of the panel's vaccine meeting, where they are also expected to weigh in on recommendations for the measles vaccine and Hepatitis. The panel already voted on the measles shot.

The CDC panel voted to change the universal guidance, which previously recommended the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine for most adults, but Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr still needs to sign off on the change.

The new guidance for people aged six months to 64-years-old reads: "Vaccination based on individual-based decision-making — with an emphasis that the risk-benefit of vaccination is most favorable for individuals who are at an increased risk for severe COVID-19 disease and lowest for individuals who are not at an increased risk, according to the CDC list of COVID-19 risk factors."

The panel also voted against requiring a prescription for the COVID-19 vaccine in a 6-6 split, per CBS News.

A spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services told the Wall Street Journal that federal insurance programs and plans under the Affordable Care Act are still required to cover the shots.

The shot doesn’t prevent the disease - it doesn’t stop it from spreading... doesn’t stop the Chinese from coming up with a new variant... why is this a debate? If someone wants to take the shot they should take it. If they don’t then so what?

Discussed the shot with my cardiologist, and he agrees that it’s not for me. The risk outweighs the projected benefits. Besides, I still follow the vitamin recommendation from First Line Doctors.

In effect the CDC just admitted that unless you are in a high risk catagory the shot will do more harm than good. Posters here on Free Republic, many of which are medical professionals, were mentioning this years ago. Looks like the CDC has finally caught up to Free Republic on the Covid shot. It is not a vaccine. I happily will take a proven vaccine such as measels, mumps, polio, small pox etc. They have risk benefit ratio that merits their use. I refuse to take a vaccine that is MRNA. It will alter your DNA. Although I am a medical professional I regrettably took the covid shot. I believed Pfizer, Moderna etc. They lied.

Let me manage the parameters of a study and the statistics and I can make it say any damn thing you want. Those studies were corrupt science and thus not science.

Their strategy is to take you out of everyday commerce if you refuse the jab. Biden already went after employees of larger companies who were "unvaxxed." Thankfully, that was shot down.

9/05/2020: New York beachgoers were greeted with what appears to be a grim anti-Cuomo banner in the sky Saturday.

“THE GOV KILLED NANA,” read the banner carried on a propeller plane that flew across New York City and Long Island beaches, according to accounts on social media. Gov. Andrew Cuomo has been widely criticized for his handling of the state-regulated nursing homes, where at least 6,447 New Yorkers died during the health crisis.

One Rockaway beachgoer told The NY Post the plane flew by around 4 p.m. as observers stopped to take pictures and applauded the message.
