In a tweet yesterday, Amanda Carpenter alerted us to another example of the close relationship between Democrats and leftwing bloggers intent on destroying Governor Palin: "Anti-Palin blogger cites close ties with "Dem leadership in AK" while angling for a Netroots scholarship." The Anti-Palin blogger is Shannyn Moore, and here's what she wrote: " I am in contact daily with Democratic leadership in Juneau."

I watched the bizarre meltdown of a woman I’d never heard of before on the news last night. It was Shannyn Moore. A peculiar and insignificant individual who apparently has developed a cottage industry around abusing Sarah Palin. Merely on the strength of her vitriol and mania against the governor she got her thoughts posted on the Huffington Post, got her own local radio show and even finds herself persona grata on MSNBC!

If Sarah Palin decides to go ahead with a defamation suit against blogger Shannyn Moore, who wrote that the Governor resigned because she was under criminal investigation, it may give others who have been defamed the courage to go after other bloggers who can be accused of "malice" in creating unfounded rumors about them on the Internet. Should Palin sue Moore, it could mean thousands of dollars of legal fees in order to defend herself. The flap with Shannyn Moore is over remarks the liberal blogger made about why Palin is quitting her job as governor ... Palin, through her lawyer, on Saturday threatened to explore "legal options" against Moore and media outlets that choose to republish like-minded "false and defamatory allegations" about Palin's resignation. Lawyer Thomas Van Flein said that soon after Palin's surprise announcement, several unscrupulous people "asserted false and defamatory" allegations. Moore is the only person named specifically.
