LOS ANGELES (AP) - Voters approved a $3.9 billion bond measure that will allow the Los Angeles Unified School District to build new schools, upgrade safety equipment and repair aging classrooms. With 100 percent of precincts reporting early Wednesday, 66 percent of voters were in favor of Measure Y and 34 percent opposed. The measure needed 55 percent support to pass.
