SACRAMENTO (AP) - California's March ballot will contain at least two propositions - a $12.3 billion school bond measure and an initiative that would make it easier for lawmakers to approve state budgets on time, state election officials said Monday.

They don't have the audacity to legislate the taxes, thus, the so-called legislators, as well as, the governor-elect will put the matter to the vote of the governed, (hoping, of course, that the herd will tax itself)!

THE 2 PROPS ALREADY HAS 2 NO VOTES.

Our school district wants to close schools, so I don't think they need money to build more schools.

We better vote NO.
56 is scary as hell, they added the tough stance on the legislature as a ruse, everyone will go for that, but so what, that law is on the books now, they abuse it every year. The truth behind 56 is to make it easier to raise taxes, 55% is all that would be required...Californians will be screwed again.
All Bonds need to be paid back, don't be fooled...look on your new property tax bills, read them carefully, look at how much extra you are paying due to bonds.
Chico, passed a bond to build a new high school, I think they did that about 4 or 5 years ago, Environmentalists have stopped the building because of a weed called Meadow Foam...the money that was there for the school has dwindled due to the fight for the school site and now that it is so much later the cost of building the school will increase.
Vote NO

Tax increases needed to balance the budget..... Don't you just love it when there's only one way to balance a budget? It presently takes 2/3 to increase taxes. What percentage is needed to impose spending cuts, 100, perhaps?

If we don't want to become a third world country here (despite all the hard work the Democrats did to make sure we were close) vote NO on both these inane propositions.
