FLORESVILLE — An inmate at the Wilson County Jail on 10th Street made a quiet escape from custody Monday, driving away in a county-owned pickup truck while he was working as a trusty in the jail’s vehicle-maintenance shop. Ryan John Bonar, 19, of Michigan, made his way off the jail grounds at about 5:45 p.m. in a Ford F-150 pickup truck. Bonar was described by Wilson County Sheriff Joe Tackitt Jr. as a nonviolent offender who last week was sentenced to six years in state prison on a burglary conviction.
