The House of Representatives and the Senate on Sunday adopted rules that outline how the counting of Electoral College votes will take place on Jan. 6. The rules were passed without recorded votes. Instead, a voice vote was used in both chambers. The guidance, introduced by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), says the chambers will meet in a joint session on Jan. 6 presided over by Vice President Mike Pence. Pence, as president of the Senate, will open “all the certificates and papers purporting to be certificates of the electoral votes,” the rules state, a nod to how seven...

A federal judge on Friday dismissed a bid by Rep. Louie Gohmert (Texas) and other Republicans that sought to endow Vice President Pence with the legal authority to effectively overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s electoral win. In his ruling, Texas-based U.S. District Judge Jeremy Kernodle, a Trump appointee, said the GOP plaintiffs lacked standing. The judge found that Gohmert suffered no legally recognizable injury. The other plaintiffs, a group of Arizona Republicans who self-identify as an alternate “slate” of pro-Trump electors, could not link their supposed injury to Pence, he reasoned.

The Republican Party has stabbed their constituents in the back. Michigan state senate majority leader Mike Shirkey (R-Clarklake) is clearing Dominion voting systems of any wrongdoing in the 2020 presidential election, despite a recent forensic audit that may indicate otherwise. Bridge Michigan reporter Jonathan Oosting made the announcement of Shirkey’s latest betrayal in a Twitter post: Shirkey’s claim that Dominion did nothing wrong comes shortly after a forensic audit of Dominion computers in Antrim County, Mich. reportedly outlined many troubling irregularities. Dominion disputes the validity of the report. Big League Politics reported last week that the Dominion audit in Antrim...

Lin Wood: "I can tell you that the Kraken, I believe from what I've learned, Kraken was the code name given to a project where the United States recognized that they would in fact be attacked in this election. I think the country and its intelligence officers took the adequate steps to document what happened on November the 3rd. I think they've known since then. I think Sidney has done a magnificent job of trying to set the table for when the President has to announce it. So I believe you're going to find that the President of the United...

President Trump will lose his current world-leader-status exemptions from Twitter’s policies after Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20, exposing him to stricter moderation. Twitter has confirmed that Trump’s personal account could face restrictions or even a ban if he continues proliferating what the platform considers “conspiracy theories” after becoming a private citizen, The Independent reported. (RELATED: Benjamin Netanyahu Removes Trump From His Twitter Profile Picture) Twitter applies unique policies to world leaders and various public officials of major importance, leaving rule-infringing content unremoved if the public has a “clear” interest in being able to access such content, according to The...

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) quashed two election integrity bills in July last year after receiving thousands in donations from Dominion lobbyists. In July, McConnell blocked two bills, one that would provide $775 million to “bolster election security,” along with requiring a physical paper trail of every single ballot cast in the country, and a second that would mandate political candidates, their staff members, and their families, to notify the FBI if any foreign government offered to assist them. “Clearly this request is not a serious effort to make a law. Clearly something so partisan that it only received...

The Electoral College has met to confirm Joe Biden as the president-elect. Despite President Trump's lawsuits challenging the results of the Nov. 3 election against Biden, 538 electors from all 50 states and Washington, D.C., convened Monday, and by Monday evening, they had given Biden the 270 votes he needed to claim the White House. Biden was expected to end the meeting with 306 electoral votes to Trump's 232, reflecting the popular votes from each of the jurisdictions. The gathering garnered more attention this cycle after key Republicans, such as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, made it the deadline for...
