It's been a VERY long time, but greetings, all. I was a FReeper dating from 1998; active here for YEARS. Life got in the way and I've been away for a long time, but back now. I've missed FR. Big time follower of Q and the truth movement and have remained very active....just not here. I wish to remedy that. I've made a lot of good friends here; friendships that last to this day. What's happening in our country and our world today were pipe dreams in the early days. We've always kicked ass here; I hope to kick some...

In an appearance on the Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” on Tuesday, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told Sean Hannity that the reason why she didn’t endorse presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney during a Las Vegas speech this weekend was because she couldn’t. The Daily Caller had pointed out on Tuesday that former Palin did not even mention Romney in her speech. But, Palin told Hannity, that doesn’t mean that the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee isn’t supporting the former Massachusetts governor. “There was a reason I did not mention Gov. Romney in my speech at the Americans for Prosperity Foundation event and...

"The new media rose up precisely because the old media failed to tell the truth. That very first new media breakthrough was about 15 years ago when this lowly little store clerk in a lowly little apartment equipped with his computer and a modem broke one of the biggest stories of the decade. His name was Matt Drudge and the rest is history. And in hindsight, we see that the story he broke was more than just a president having an affair. To me it was much, much more than that. It was about a major old media publication that...

Las Vegas (CNN) – Though Sarah Palin has recently endorsed several political candidates, she has yet to give an official nod to Mitt Romney. And on Friday, as she rallied conservative bloggers toward “victory in 2012” –- Palin didn’t even mention Romney’s name. The former Alaska governor gave the keynote speech on the opening night of the RightOnline conference in Las Vegas -– a gathering of conservative leaders and new media activists. About 1,000 people descended on the city to attend the group’s fifth annual event. Much of Palin’s speech was aimed at encouraging the grassroots activists ahead of the...

Sarah Palin spoke tonight at Right Online 2012 about the impact the new media is having on the political landscape, all the way from Matt Drudge and his modem to the new media reporters on the ground exposing the Occupy movement. And of coure, her entire speech was inspired by Andrew Breitbart, remembering his massive impact on all media, and all of us. Watch:

The conservative blogosphere has yet to move past the death of patron saint Andrew Breitbart, but it will get a major jolt this month from an equally provocative hero: Sarah Palin. To any of my fellow Freepers or lurkers who may personally know Andrew Breitbart, please pass on the following to him. Andrew....love the name of your oranization. RightOnline has noble goals that I support 100%. God bless and Godspeed. I am compelled to add that I am supremely flattered that you chose to name your organization after little ol' me. I mean, I have had this name for nearly 13 years here on Free Republic, so obviously you have been so overwhelmed by the quality of my posts, you deemed it appropriate to memorialize the name. Color me humbled. OK...

Paul Grimaldi Email Journal staff and wire reports PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- More than 2,500 progressive political activists will come to Providence in June 2012 to take part in the annual Netroots Nation conference. But the group of progressive bloggers wants no competition for attention when it comes to town. The conference's organizers have taken steps that would keep a conservative group's traditional counter-event at a distance. Raven Brooks, Netroots Nation's executive director, said Tuesday the progressive group has a non-compete clause in its contracts with the Rhode Island Convention Center and two Providence hotels. The conservative group RightOnline has staged...

Organizers of the liberal Netroots Nation conference to be held in Providence in summer 2012 have taken steps to keep a traditional conservative counter-event at a distance. The conservative conference RightOnline, a project of the Virginia-based group Americans for Prosperity, has staged its convention in the same city around the same time as Netroots Nation since 2008. Raven Brooks, Netroots Nation's executive director, said Tuesday the group had a noncompete clause in its contracts with the Rhode Island Convention Center and two Providence hotels. "Good luck finding a venue in 2012," he tweeted over the weekend, in reference to RightOnline....

So the KOmmies of Daily Kos just held their annual NUtroots Nation convention this past weekend. This one was held in Minneapolis. Just think: Five years ago, NUtroots Nation was held in Las Vegas, where potential presidential candidates hosted fancy soirées for the KOmmies, complete with chocolate fountains and impressive ice sculptures. Now this year, the KOmmies are in Minneapolis, they're stuck with Obama, and no one is lining up to buy their votes. How the mighty have fallen! From chocolate fountains to lutefisk. From ice sculptures to ice fishing. And worst of all, from Obamassiah to Bush Lite....

Herman Cain's speech at RightOnline, 2011, Minneapolis, MN
-
MINNEAPOLIS — About 15 bloggers got a rare glimpse at an angry Herman Cain, when the Republican presidential candidate’s temper flared briefly during an informal press conference Saturday. The normally genial Atlanta businessman became angry when Evan McMorris-Santoro, a writer for the liberal blog Talking Points Memo, asked whether Cain would apply “special precautions” in hiring Muslims. “If you’re trying to make me lose my cool, you’re almost succeeding,” Cain said, after McMorris-Santoro raised the question — one Cain had addressed at some length to begin the press conference — and when the TMP writer attempted to reiterate the question,...

In response to overwhelming demand from its free-market grassroots activists for a sneak peek of the controversial new film, The Undefeated, Americans for Prosperity Foundation's RightOnline Conference will move the showing of the movie to the 1,000-seat main ballroom during RightOnline on Friday, June 17th at 9 p.m. CDT. The Undefeated is an independently produced feature film about Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. RightOnline is a conservative technology activism conference that runs opposite the left-wing Netroots Nation Convention. "Sarah Palin is one of the most talked about political figures by pundits, but the overwhelming demand for viewing...

With the turn of a phrase, Minnesota Republican Rep. Michelle Bachmann seemed to sum up last weekend’s RightOnline conference, an annual gathering of conservative activists. “The sleeping giant is awake,” she declared . . . For the first time ever, conservative blogs hold the top two slots in Technorati.com’s politics blog ranking, pushing The Huffington Post, the long-reigning champion, to the fifth slot. Conservative blogs also make up half of the top ten political blogs on the Web, while the distinctly liberal blogs only claim two spaces . . .

This past weekend, I attended the Right Online 2009 Conference, sponsored by Americans For Prosperity. This year, the city of Pittsburgh played the charming host for this conference. I have to give props to Erik Telford for his dedication in building this conference.Additional kudos go to AFP for sponsoring a bus from Philly to Pittsburgh. There is nothing like a road trip with 45 of your fellow un American patriots! Pittsburgh was the perfect venue to underscore the peril faced by hard working, tax paying Americans. This is a city forged by steel and coal industries, the same industries...
