BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. (WBRC) - A man was arrested in Locust Fork on Sunday, June 22, by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Atlanta. According to the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Public Affairs, Ribvar Karimi reportedly served as an Iranian Army sniper from 2018 to 2021. They say at the time of Karimi’s arrest, he had an Islamic Republic of Iran Army identification card. DHS says Karimi entered the United States on a K-1 visa in October 2024.
