The clue was the insurance companies. The embalmers never saw anything until midway in 2021. And then they started seeing these massive clots … It only started six months into the vaccination program,” says Steve Kirsch, the executive director of the Vaccine Safety Research Foundation. Kirsch argues there...

A gym fanatic was left trapped under weights for 33 minutes while he waited for emergency services to free him. The man, aged between 25 and 35, was working out at Snap Fitness in Spring Hill, Brisbane, Australia at 5:47 am on Thursday when he got into trouble. Firefighters did not arrive until 6:20 am to rescue him, with paramedics arriving shortly afterward. It took six minutes to extract the man from under the weights. By this point, the man was unconscious and required CPR. He was taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in critical condition. There were no...

In interviews with The Defender, three lawyers discussed workers’ compensation strategies that may help private-sector employees who sustained COVID-19 vaccine injuries obtain financial relief.Could employees injured by a COVID-19 vaccine that was mandated by their employer get relief under the U.S. workers’ compensation program? Some lawyers think so — including three who spoke with The Defender about specific workers’ compensation strategies that may help private-sector employees who sustained COVID-19 vaccine injuries obtain financial relief. The attorneys also suggested that the more people file claims for their COVID-19 vaccine injuries, the more employers — and their insurers — may feel pressure to reconsider...

Pitchforks down, please! I felt your anger as soon as you clicked on the article. I have nothing against Rust — I prefer it for various use cases. All programming languages are means to an end. In my case, Rust simply did not cut it, and I had to gut the project and rewrite it in Golang. The project is a simple backend webhook service for Hasura. If you aren’t familiar with Hasura, it’s a wrapper around a Postgres database that gives you an instant GraphQL API. It’s very handy for people like me, who are solo developers building out...

EXCERPTS: Punched Cards for VotingThe standard punched card, originally invented by Herman Hollerith, was first used for vital statistics tabulation by the Baltimore Board of Health. IBM developed pre-scored punched cards and the Port-A-Punch card punch. In the early 1960's, two professors at the University of California at Berkeley adapted this for voting. Joseph P. Harris, from the political science department, had the idea, and sought help from William Rouverol, of the mechanical engineering department. They made several improvements to the Port-A-Punch, patented them, and formed Harris Votomatic, Inc. to sell the result. Direct Recording Electronic Voting MachinesIn 1898, Frank...

How did we lose our nation? What if there was a system designed to outsource the process of vetting those applying for federal government positions? What if the process of Federal background checks for applicants were no longer carried out and investigated by personal, but by specially designed software? How many here have heard the story of Blake Percival? From 2001-2011, Blake worked for USIS, also known as US Investigations Services, where he rose through the ranks to the position of Director. USIS was a Company contracted by the government to conduct National Security Clearance Background Investigations on prospective and...

I just bought a new Wisephone from Techless. Seems nice, but when attempting to get it set up, I followed the carrier's instructions and deleted the factory default Access Point Names (APN). Now, it won't connect at all. The carrier was useless and Techless support won't be available until Monday. I really need to get it activated before then, so ..... I know this is a long shot, but if anyone has a Wisephone, could you please share the list of the APNs?

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of the Treasury today published three reports pursuant to Sections 4, 5 and 7 of President Joe Biden’s Executive Order 14067 on “Ensuring Responsible Development of Digital Assets.” The reports address the future of money and payment systems, consumer and investor protection and illicit finance risks. “Innovation is one of the hallmarks of a vibrant financial system and economy. But as we have learned painfully from the past, innovation without appropriately addressing the impact of these developments can result in significant disruptions and harm to the financial system and individuals, especially our more vulnerable populations....

American Airlines is shaking up its premium cabin offerings, phasing out its first-class cabin to instead focus on business-class seats in response to shifting consumer demand. Vasu Raja, American’s chief commercial officer, confirmed the move to investors on a Thursday morning earnings call. “Yes, the first class will not exist on the [Boeing 777] or for that matter at American Airlines, for the simple reason that our customers aren’t buying it,” said Raja. “The quality of the business class seat has improved so much, and frankly by removing it, we can go provide more business class seats, which is our...

CLAIM: Pfizer admitted to the European Parliament that it had not tested the ability of its COVID-19 vaccine to prevent transmission of the virus before it entered the market, proving the company lied about this earlier in the pandemic. AP’S ASSESSMENT: Missing context. Janine Small, president of international markets at Pfizer, told the European Parliament on Monday that Pfizer did not know whether its COVID-19 vaccine prevented transmission of the virus before it entered the market in December 2020. But Pfizer never claimed to have studied the issue before the vaccine’s market release. THE FACTS: After Small testified before the...

...Many scientists are reluctant to say with certainty that the vaccines prevent transmission of the virus from one person to another. This can be misinterpreted as an admission that the vaccines do not work. That’s not the case. The limited data available suggests the vaccines will at least partly reduce transmission, and the studies to determine this with more clarity are underway. There should be more data within the next couple of months. Until then, precautionary measures like masking and distancing in the presence of unvaccinated people will remain important....When scientists develop a vaccine against a novel virus, it’s difficult...

"The knowledge of the circumstances of which we must make use," F.A. Hayek famously observed, "never exists in concentrated or integrated form but solely as the dispersed bits of incomplete and frequently contradictory knowledge which all the separate individuals possess." The more you centralize the processing and dissemination of knowledge, the greater the range and effect of potential error.

For the 2022 midterm elections the control of the US Senate is the biggest battle between the Republicans and Democrats with the race centered on 4 Senate races where the Democrats need to win 3 of them and the Republicans need to win 2 of them to have control. These races are Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada. Not counting these 4 seats or any surprise upsets (i.e. someone whose odds are at least 3x as much as the other party's odds) the breakdown of the other 96 seats is 45 Dem, 2 Ind (both caucus with Dems), 49 Rep.
