MONDAY, DECEMBER 07, 2009 Celebrity-Themed Scareware Campaign Abusing DocStoc UPDATE: Docstoc has removed all the participating accounts in this campaign, and is applying additional filtering to undermine its effectiveness. Last week's "Celebrity-Themed Scareware Campaign Abusing DocStoc and Scribd" is now exclusively targeting the popular Docstoc document-sharing service. Naturally, this very latest campaign once again offers overwhelming evidence on the inner workings of the cybercrime ecosystem, in this particular case, the connection between the Koobface gang and money mule recruitment campaigns.

Metro link, Southern California's commuter rail for the Greater Los Angeles areas is in tough times in this recession, unfortunately, they are controlled by unionized taxpayer funded liberals. Just like other liberals, they don't learn a damn thing. In every scenario where funding is down and profits are low, they do the worst thing. In this case, raising rates. All while the worst recession in 70 years is taking place. Metro links problems are largely connected to the economy. With people out of work or earning less, they are not able to afford tickets to commute to LA, San Bernardino...

SNIPPET: "The NEFA Foundation has obtained a video recording released by the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) paying tribute to a German national "Abu Safiyya" (a.k.a. Javaid Siddiqi) who was "martyred" in late October during fighting alongside mujahideen forces in Afghanistan. The video shows Siddiqi on the frontline along the Afghan-Pakistani border accompanied by other German recruits--and at a terrorist training camp that was organized last May."

...Palin shared the bill at the black-tie dinner of the 124-year old club with Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.). She was joined by her husband, Todd Palin, and her parents. Palin -- a potential 2012 presidential candidate -- is touring the nation promoting her memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life. Frank, the chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, just published a biography titled Barney Frank: The Story of America's Only Left-Handed, Gay, Jewish Congressman. At the reception, Palin mingled and posed for pictures. She told me, when I asked, that her purse was made from otter. Todd Palin explained to...

In recalling President Obama's cabinet appointments, you'll notice that very few have had any private sector or business experience. To find out if this was a "change" from prior administrations, Michael Cembalest, Chief Investment Officer of JP Morgan Private Bank, did a study that examined the private sector experience of prior cabinet officials since 1900.

Note: Photo included. Al Mazraq Refugee Camp, Yemen Filed under: Saada War, Saudi Arabia, USA — by Jane Novak at 10:10 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2009 This 15 month old toddler is in the al Mazraq refugee camp, or was. The child may be dead by now. The UN is struggling to save hundreds of children like this one from dying of malnutrition in the Yemeni refugee camps. But due to lack of funding and lack of access, they are really struggling. Tens of thousands of children are outside the camps and beyond the reach of food aid, as...

SNIPPET: "Sudden jihad syndrome or just the crazy? I'll remind my readers that the two are not mutually exclusive categories. In fact, Aaron over at SOFIR has a pretty interesting typology of the "terrorist continuum" in which he posits that the more rational the terrorist the more likely they will be to need organizational help. At the other end of the spectrum are "lone wolves" who are characterized by a high degree of "internal disquiet". I've no idea if the grad student/murderer named Abdulsalam Al-Zahrani was motivated by Islamic extremism. I throw it out there because it can't be discounted...

Among other things, Morris Davis, retired United States Air Force Colonel, is an expert on military commissions. He served as Chief Prosecutor for the Guantanamo military commissions. He resigned from the position and retired from active duty last year and took a job with the Congressional Research Office (CRO) running the Foreign Affairs, Defense and Trade Division. Last month Davis wrote an op-ed for the WSJ where he criticized the Administration's decision to try some detainees via military commissions and others in civilian courts . Davis wrote: "The administration must choose. Either federal courts or military commissions, but not both,...

December 03, 2009 SNIPPET: "But make sure to watch all the way through as we are treated to the jack booted marching bit all underfed ragtag armies use to seem tougher. Then, as a finale, the ever important riding around bareback on a horse while waving a flag thing." SNIPPET: "Thanks to the akhi over at al Quimmah."

SNIPPET: "I finally got around to reading this. Link to the article is here. It is in Arabic. The article starts off talking about the missing 82nd airborne soldiers earlier this month. This piece basically reiterates what Abu Walid al Masri wrote about in his July 2009 book wherein he outlined this strategy and suggested the Taliban adopt it. Key difference being this new piece is an article in an official Taliban publication. The July 2009 book was Abu Walid’s own work, not part of a Taliban sanctioned media publication that has processes of review and approval before things get...

"The Rifqa Rally on November 16 in Columbus, Ohio, was an enormous success. Freedom lovers traveled from far and wide to stand up for Rifqa’s religious freedom and human rights — from Wisconsin, Toronto, California, Dearbornistan (so they said), Michigan, New York, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Texas, Missouri, Louisiana and it was good."

There is mounting evidence that the global Jihadist insurgency is fully entrenched in the USA. After the Fort Hood massacre news services seem divided between those hell-bent-for-leather on denying that it was a case of anything other than a persecuted loner “snapping” and those who proclaimed it the first “terrorist” attack on US soil since September 11th. Both were wrong. Over the last 12 months alone, we have been provided with a stack of evidence of the Jihadist insurgency inside America. Americans have largely ignored this evidence, or at least failed to “connect the dots.” I decided to go back...

Perhaps we should take a few moments to examine what the “it” is as regards Sarah Palin. There is an oft quoted, or at least it should be oft quoted maxim regarding managers: “Intuitive managers always fail.” Specifically, managers who hire or promote based on perception, feeling, assumption, or appearance will be wrong most of the time. Managers that hire/promote based on performance will usually be right. Simply put, just because someone looks or talks like Stan Musial does not mean he or she can hit like Stan Musial. That certainly applies to the most recent voters’ presidential selection, as...

Regardless of what Obama thinks or says, Muslims consider him a Muslim. In the Muslim world, one is automatically a Muslim if the father is a Muslim, and Obama's birth father was descended from Kenyans who adopted Islam from Arab invaders in Africa. No matter what religion Obama claims publicly, he is still considered a Muslim in the Muslim world. Even if his father was not an active practitioner, Obama's Islamic inheritance and his public endorsement of Islam make him a useful Muslim. He can proclaim to be a Christian, and even attend a church, and still be considered a...

The archive contains eight stories censored or removed from the on-line archives of the Guardian, Observer, Telegraph and New Statesman. Seven stories were removed in their entirety and one partly redacted following legal pressure by Iraqi-British billionaire fraudster Nadhmi Auchi who has been linked to US senator Barack Obama via the so-called “Rezko Affair”. The action was taken during April-June 2008. The material complements the Wikileaks release a few days ago of a significant 2004 Pentagon Inspector General's report into Mr. Auchi's, apparently grossly fraudulent, activities in Iraq — see US Defense Inspector General: Mobile Telecommunications Licenses in Iraq, 2004....
