Perhaps we should take a few moments to examine what the “it” is as regards Sarah Palin.

There is an oft quoted, or at least it should be oft quoted maxim regarding managers: “Intuitive managers always fail.” Specifically, managers who hire or promote based on perception, feeling, assumption, or appearance will be wrong most of the time. Managers that hire/promote based on performance will usually be right. Simply put, just because someone looks or talks like Stan Musial does not mean he or she can hit like Stan Musial. That certainly applies to the most recent voters’ presidential selection, as it has for many others.

Sarah Palin has been setting and achieving goals all of her life. Her most important quality is her work ethic. She has set and achieved goals, and done so through concentration and unceasing work. Her life is a litany of achievement in things great and small. She has rarely, if ever, spent any time “getting even” or gratuitously knocking a competitor. (Dick Armey opined factually: one cannot get ahead when one is trying to get even.) Spite, envy, petty revenge… These are the tools of the small minded and are, in any case, forbidden to committed Christians. Sarah has always eschewed them.

She does her best to live as a Christian. It has been her daily test since she got into politics. So far, all the signs indicate that she is winning the battle, which further infuriates her opponents. And, like Christians everywhere, she exhibits true humility. Whereas Joe Biden and his ilk are convinced of their own omniscience, Sarah knows her core beliefs and remains true to them. She knows more about energy and rooting out corruption from EXPERIENCE. In other things, she seeks knowledge, not political advantage. President Obama and his coterie of

A self made woman.

Which renders the liberal feminist movement completely irrelevant.

Why is it so hard for these fools to understand why Sarah is popular with her base?

Sarah Palin has a sense of place. She knows where she is in relation to history. She is not ignorant and I’d assess her IQ upwards of 175 based on what I know of my daughter’s IQ and comparing the two. [They are very much alike intellectually.] Sarah Palin has a humility of person. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention. Unless speaking about herself is necessary to her conversation, she doesn’t promote herself. Sarah Palin has a sense of service. She saw a need and ran for office so she could represent her neighbors. Sarah Palin has a sense of self. She knows who she is and has a good idea of what she can accomplish alone and with the assistance of others. Sarah Palin has a connectedness that is bolstered by Todd Palin and her children.

What Sarah Palin has, most of her supporters also have. Maybe not to the degree she has, but some do and some have more than she has. What she has that is the ‘it-edness’ is that she is willing to place herself in the political arena and become a target. She has many supporters who surround her as target. She also has others who take aim at her to attempt to do harm.

And here’s the bit if information you may not be aware of: there are thousands if not tens of thousands of people, men and women, who are in the political arena in their town, county, city, district, State, running for office or serving in office, even as you read this. They are doing as Sarah Palin did and mostly for the same reasons. They love this Country and they want to make a difference in their town, city, county, district or State.

Sarah Palin is one of many caring, serving people. Look around you and find that “Sarah” in your town or County or city or State and who that person your support.

Not all Politicians are “bad” people. Many are unschooled in the Constitution. It’s up to you and me to educate them.

See you in DC, looks like sooner than later. http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=202539633948&ref=mf

And in Nashville, TN, Feb 4-6, for the First National Tea Party Convention.
