Street Outlaws drag racer Shannon Poole was involved in a worrying wreck behind the wheel of his "Red Bull" Chevrolet Corvette this Sunday. The reality TV personality was along for the ride when his car took flight mid-run, crashing down in a nasty fireball. Poole's nitrous-boosted 1964 'Vette lifted its nose shortly after launching off the line, which flipped it into the air. MELBOURNE, Australia -- The Australian Grand Prix has been canceled after local organizers and Formula One couldn't come up with a compromise over Australia's strict travel and quarantine issues relating to the COVID-19 pandemic. The race was postponed from its original season-opening spot on the F1 calendar on March 21 and had been rescheduled for Nov. 21. The 2020 Australian GP at the Albert Park street circuit in Melbourne last March was called off at the last minute at the start of the coronavirus pandemic shutdown.

Two men face second degree murder charges after alleged street racing turned deadly in Columbus County. It happened on April 16th near Sandyfield. William “Rowdy” Harrell, a tire carrier for Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 88 team, and his wife, Blakley, were killed in a highway crash Tuesday night in the Florida Keys. Hendrick Motorsports confirmed the news Wednesday afternoon. Harrell was 30 and his wife, 23. Two of the biggest names in auto racing — NASCAR hall of famers Ray Evernham and Tony Stewart — will launch an auto racing circuit that has the potential to be the biggest disrupter to the auto racing business in decades. With top agent Sandy Montag and former NASCAR COO George Pyne rounding out the four-person board, Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) will feature six short-track races starting next summer.
