PPIC Statewide Survey: Californians and Their Government, March 2007 On the Republican side, Rudy Giulliani (33%) leads in the presidential primary race, followed by John McCain (19%), Newt Gingrich (14%), and Mitt Romney (7%). Guiliani has similar support among men and women, and conservatives and others.
