Project Homestead backers rail against media GREENSBORO — A group of prominent black leaders and politicians warned Monday that Project Homestead will collapse unless the News & Record ends its “negative publicity” of the nonprofit, low-income housing builder. “It is virtually impossible for Project Homestead to continue to operate in this climate,” said state Rep.
