You may not have been aware of it, but a religious revival has been sweeping America for the past few years. However, rather than the old-time religion of Christian piety, it’s a new religion with new idols and a new direction. Yet, not entirely new - it’s the latest phase in an evolving revolutionary belief system that has consciously set itself against every aspect of traditional American culture and society. Whereas earlier progressivism made an effort to appear to integrate itself into earlier American paradigms even as it was acting to overturn them, the current religion of Woke Progressivism has...

There is a new party, which it is difficult to characterize because it is made up of several elements. As I see it, it is made up three elements in particular. The first consists of those Republicans whose consciences and whose stomachs could not stand what the regular Republicans were doing. Added to this element are a great many men and women of noble character and of elevated purpose who believe that this combination of forces may, in the future, bring them out on a plane where they can accomplish those things which their hearts have so long desired. I...

Once again, Twitter comes through as a go-to source for material to write about. So I was a bit amused when I came across this tweet a few days ago, I found it amusing because I have to admit, Star Trek is one of those things I would now classify alongside, say, the MCU movies as being the domain of the bugman. And since bugmen are a little…suspect in my eyes, well, you know. But as it turns out, the text in the tweet comes from an article appearing all the way back in 2005 in the Huffington Post, before...

Working-class Americans are paying a heavy price for their elites’ moral posturing. As gasoline prices in the US continue to surge to an unprecedented $7 a gallon in some places, President Joe Biden seems more interested in finding someone to blame than mitigating the problem. ‘Make no mistake, inflation is largely the fault of [Russian president Vladimir] Putin’, the president said on Friday at the House Democratic Caucus Issues Conference. The president then cited a ‘fact checker’ in the New York Times and a Washington Post op-ed to counter anyone daring to lay the blame for skyrocketing prices at the...

America’s most toxic two-term president left a lasting welt on the nation. If you were dragging getting out of bed to start this week, thank Woodrow Wilson. Daylight saving time is just one of a battery of ways that Wilson and his presidency changed America, most of them for the worse. I come now not to explain Wilson, but to hate him. A national consensus on hating Wilson is long overdue. It is the patriotic duty of every decent American. While conservatives have particular reasons to detest Wilson, and all his works, and all his empty promises, there is more...

There are many significant moments in American history that have informed the principles of America’s tradition of liberalism, but not since the American founding have we lived in one so important. The United States is at a “1776 Moment” of ideological transformation. The American Revolution of 1776 marked a change of political ideology from constitutional monarchy to liberalism. Today, the ideological transformation is from liberalism to progressivism.

The Study of Administration (1887), by Woodrow Wilson, sets the stage for the bureaucracies that would follow it a little over a dozen years after it's publication. Starting roughly in the 20th century, the progressive era saw the explosive growth of administrative agencies lacking any oversight whatsoever, a malady we suffer under to this day over 120 years later. Unique among all generations of Americans before them, the progressives hated the United States Constitution, and Administration was their answer once and for all to get around this pesky obstacle we have all come to know and love.

One of the most fascinating things I find about progressivism is how they create a problem, and then campaign against that problem all the while disclaiming any fault for its happening. So it is with the black heroes in early American history. But how did progressives accomplish it? How did they erase this? It's not that these heroes were unknowns. Who erased them? I've said this before and I'll say it here again. This idea that "Americans forget" is unwarranted, NOT when progressives are involved. Progressives are thieves when it comes to all of the highlights of America history. Progressives...

A dean at San Diego State University has called out the “Right’s agenda” on Twitter, accusing conservatives of supporting racism and standing against equality.

It’s not a very cleverly hidden agenda when the Democrat Party fights against Cubans fleeing communism for entry into the US for safe harbor and a future. Simultaneously, that same Democrat Party supports illegal immigration from countries throughout North and South America as they safely cross the open southern US border. This recurring specter of communism strategically hides, so even those that practice it won’t call it by name. Saul Alinsky’s playbook, “Rules for Radicals,” teaches subversiveness by redefining words and vocabulary meanings.

In understanding why progressivism and liberalism are not the same thing and even moreso, why progressivism hates liberalism, there are two inescapable facts: 1) During the progressive era, progressives were everywhere. 2) Today, progressives are everywhere. Well, what's in the middle? For some reason, no matter where I go there is an extreme resistance on the part of conservatives to admit (out loud or even perhaps even to themselves) that progressives re-labeled themselves as liberal and are now wearing camoflage. Why is this? I don't know. Every now and then you see someone attempt to dig it out and they...

Recently I watched an interview of Glenn Loury, a black professor of economics from Brown University, done by Peter Robinson of the Hoover Institution. In it, he makes a remarkable statement quoting his friend Shelby Steele, himself a black English professor who now writes books commenting on current affairs. Loury quotes Steele to the effect that “the problem before [blacks in America] now is not a problem of oppression. It is a problem of freedom. It is a problem of seizing opportunity, the problem of taking responsibility.” It echoed within me as I have been thinking similar thoughts about the...

With Democrats in control of Congress and the White House, aided and abetted by a relentlessly partisan (and deceitful) media, the left is on the march. They're going to usher in a new order, by hook or by crook. They are dismantling the foundation of this country as fast as they can, and what's going to be left once they're done "building back better" is going to be devoid of decency, much less anything else of value. The left favors poverty over prosperity, incompetence over skill, ignorance over experience, theft over commerce, arsonists over property owners, predators over children and...

Source: P Photo/J. Scott Applewhite Brave and forthright intellectual Bari Weiss published in her Substack account this past week an essay written by Rob Henderson, a doctoral candidate at Cambridge University. Henderson's poignant story starts with a drug-addicted mother and carries him like flotsam through the California foster care system and multiple families to eventual adoption, the divorce of his adoptive parents, the miraculous intervention of a high school teacher, a stint in the military and then his matriculation at Yale on the G.I. Bill. It is, to say the least, a statistically unlikely positive outcome for someone with his...

After four years of arduous work, the solo recording of Herbert Croly's The Promise of American Life is now completed. From the viewpoint of "what is progressive ideology", this book explains it better than perhaps any other I could offer. This book is entirely free, it is in the public domain. This is NOT. for sale. The book can be downloaded from here, and using what I could find which was written by others, I wrote the following book summary: The book is said to "offer a manifesto of Progressive beliefs" that "anticipated the transition from competitive to corporate capitalism...

A bronze monument depicting Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th president of the United States, situated in front of New York City’s American Museum of Natural History will be relocated over claims that the statue symbolizes colonialism. On Monday, The New York City Public Design Commission unanimously approved a measure to relocate the statue, which depicts Roosevelt on horseback, flanked by a Native American and black man on foot, to an institution celebrating Roosevelt’s legacy. The monument has been in place since 1940. The development comes as dozens of statues depicting historic Americans have been removed across the country following protests and...

America is now at a point where its free market system, constitutional republic, Judeo-Christian values, and national sovereignty are seriously threatened. In 1984, former KGB officer Yuri Bezmenov, who defected to the West in the 1970s, alerted Americans to the methods the Soviet secret service was using to subvert our political system. The aim of the agency, he said, was gradual "ideological subversion" or "psychological warfare." Using ample video footage of the late Bezmenov, Brainwashed America — the latest documentary from filmmaker, radio host, and author Brannon Howse — exposes how dangerously far this process of undermining American culture has...
