COMBINATION hormone replacement therapy can cause cancer, the UN's agency on the disease has concluded. The International Agency for Research on Cancer said yesterday, based on evidence from recent studies, it has reclassified hormonal menopause therapy from "possibly carcinogenic to humans" to "carcinogenic to humans".
