Biden’s pardon of Dr. Anthony Fauci may protect the former National Institutes of Health official from immediate criminal prosecution, but some critics say he is not completely out of legal jeopardy and that public sentiment might still condemn the man who became known during the COVID-19 pandemic as “Mr. Science.” In the days before Biden offered the pardon to Fauci, along with other critics of Donald Trump, some experts who have followed Fauci’s career and handling of the pandemic, as well as members of the Trump transition team, reiterated their assertion that Fauci perjured himself on several occasions during the...

What To Know Fauci responded to the preemptive pardon in a statement reported by CNN's Jim Acosta. "It feels good and I'm grateful to the president for doing it," he told Acosta. "I have done nothing wrong. Certainly nothing criminal. No grounds at all." Fauci said the White House told him in December that Biden was considering a preemptive pardon, but that he did not know it was actually happening "until last night," Acosta posted on X, formerly Twitter. Newsweek reached out to Fauci via Georgetown University for comment
  • No Pardon for Mayorkas Or Garland?

Now, this is interesting: there is no word that Alejandro Mayorkas or Merrick Garland were granted preemptive pardons. No doubt Garland has some vulnerabilities, but I doubt that he would be high on the list of people who would be targeted for investigations. And as a high-powered lawyer who just ran the Justice Department that would prosecute him, he would likely be treated with kid gloves. ... But Mayorkas? That man has skeletons and even still-rotting bodies in his closet, and as far as I can tell, Biden has given him no legal cover. He has committed perjury many times...

Now-pardoned Adam Kinzinger said he didn’t want one two weeks ago: The second you take a pardon, it looks like you're guilty of something." ... So is Adam now admitting he is guilt of committing crimes? ... What illegal things did DC and Capitol Police commit .. ? the stench of treason and obscene cronyism. ... He still has the Biden crime family pardons to do ... Nothing admits guilt quite like a preemptive pardon in the final hours of an administration. ... They’ve now set an “immunity” precedent — party members and allies of the president can do whatever...

the criminals that populate the Biden administration know they’ve broken the law, abrogated the Constitution over and over again. They do not want to be caught, to be indicted, to have to hire lawyers, to defend themselves from the crimes they’ve knowingly committed. Everyone in their realm knows they broke countless laws in their determined effort to destroy Donald Trump. The American people know that they broke every law on the books to further their efforts to prevent Trump, not only from running for the office again and most certainly to prevent him from winning again. Damn! They failed. Now...

Senior White House officials are reportedly considering issuing retired Gen. Mark Milley a pre-emptive pardon over fears that President-elect Donald Trump’s incoming administration will go after the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The potential pardon for Milley, who was the nation’s highest-ranking military officer for part of Trump’s first term, was reported by the Washington Post Thursday. Milley, 66, faced intense scrutiny on Capitol Hill during President Biden’s first year in office after journalist Bob Woodward revealed that the Pentagon official placed secret phone calls to a top Chinese official before the 2020 election and after the...

With FBI Director James Comey’s statement this week that the massive investigation of possible criminality by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton could linger into the fall, some of her political advisers have become convinced that the best option for her would be to shut it down now, which could be accomplished if President Obama would grant a preemptive pardon for any crimes she may have committed. “It would be a humbling experience for Mrs. Clinton to accept a pardon, but she and husband Bill have ridden out terrible scandals in the past without losing their bedrock constituencies,” an official...
