Marwa Tahboub is a Ph.D. student in the Media, Technology, and Society program. She works in the Network for Nonprofit and Social Impact [NNSI] lab led by Dr. Michelle Shumate. She received her M.A. from Northwestern, in which her thesis explored how Muslim nonprofits engage in social movements in the United States. Michelle is the founding director of the Network for Nonprofit and Social Impact (NNSI), the Delaney Family University Research Professor, and Associate Faculty at the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University. NNSI is dedicated to answering the question: How can government and nonprofit networks be rewired for maximum social impact?

Her research focuses on how to design interorganizational networks to make the most social impact. She is the author of Networks for Social Impact (2022, Oxford University Press). The National Science Foundation recognized her research with a CAREER award. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Army Research Office. Several years ago, I had a neibor/friend who was part Indian and he drove me around a couple of reservations to show me how awful life was for the Indians. Actually it was for some of them, but definitely not all. His relatives had a gorgeous home in a lovely neighborhood where many residents were AmerInds.

Kids in the tribe were given, as I recall, $15,000 when they turned 18. Probably more now, Most bought tpickups and drank themselvsinto oblivion with the $$. Some did their best and had fairly OK lives on or off the “Rez”. And a few did very well indeed. One gorgeous woman he knew was a university professor of NativeAamerican Studies. Probably other unis have these classes if located in places that have Amerind populations.

But robbing Anglos is totally wrong and I hope this idiot judgement is appealed.
