Former President Barack Obama’s campaign mastermind is joining Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign as a senior adviser. David Plouffe developed a reputation as a campaign guru by guiding Obama from being a little-known junior senator from Illinois to the White House in one of the most odds-defying and historical campaigns in American political history. He served as a top adviser in Obama’s White House, essentially leading Obama’s 2012 from his perch in the administration. He will now cast his lot with Harris, the latest Democrat power player to do so after countless party bigwigs had cooled on President Joe...

Now that Democrats are poised to control the White House, Senate and House, the traditional game of finger-pointing and recrimination will begin inside the GOP. The first instinct for politicians will be to assign blame, call names and jockey for position. But the 2020 election wasn't just an election, it was a political watershed in which the rules and strategy for winning were rewritten. The November election (and Tuesday’s Georgia curtain call) wasn't won and lost by the tactics, spending, individual players and messaging in the weeks before Nov. 3, according to interviews conducted with more than three dozen frontline...

Zuckerberg’s recent donation of $400 million has been thrown into greater controversy with the revelation that his foundation’s lead in policy and advocacy formerly worked as the campaign manager and senior advisor to former President Obama. David Plouffe was hired in 2017 to lead policy and advocacy work at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI), a charity founded in 2015 by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan “to accelerate progress in Education, Justice & Opportunity and Science.” Plouffe’s background includes extensive involvement as a policy leader in the Obama campaigns and organizations like Uber, CZI, and most recently...

Former Obama campaign aide David Plouffe has been fined $90,000 for breaking the city of Chicago’s ethics rules in lobbying Mayor Rahm Emanuel (D) on behalf of Uber. The Chicago Board of Ethics in a 5-0 vote determined that Plouffe broke the rules by not registering as a lobbyist after seeking Emanuel’s support for rules to allow Uber to pick up passengers at Chicago’s airports, reports the Chicago Tribune. The violation became public after Emanuel released hundreds of emails in December, bowing to pressure from two lawsuits claiming that he had violated Illinois’s open record law. “Assume both of us...

The man who managed former President Barack Obama’s campaign has been slapped with a $90,000 fine for using Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s private email account to lobby the mayor on behalf of ride-sharing giant Uber without registering as a lobbyist. Newly-appointed Chicago Board of Ethics Chairman Attorney William Conlon said the fine assessed against David Plouffe is the largest ever by the Chicago Board of Ethics. It represents $1,000 for every one of the 90 days that Plouffe failed to registered as a lobbyist after his November 2015 email to Emanuel on the mayor’s personal account. “Registration of lobbyists is important....

I was a Cruzer yet will vote Trump because we can't let Clinton get in. Trump must get off the teleprompted speeches or he's sure to lose. He's so bad I wonder at times if he's doing it on purpose.

Trump's decision to give a set of remarks — with the aid of a teleprompter — earlier this week is just one example of how the candidate is lazy and unwilling to go about the traditional means of campaigning, Plouffe said. "It's so offensive as a practitioner," he said. "Get on your plane and go to Ohio. It's not that complicated … I think he's actually quite lazy. He's lazy." Plouffe, who is now an adviser at Uber, went on to say that Trump is "not doing basic things" that are expected, or required, of a major party's nominee, such...

Conservatives who breathed a sigh of relief with Vice President Joe Biden’s removing himself from the 2016 race should stop, look, and listen. There are other potential presidential candidates on the horizon. Former Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick is one. Although he has said no to a run, and although the time is getting late, Deval Patrick is a longtime ally of President Obama. His only criticism of the President is that he does not tout his great successes enough. Recently, Gov. Patrick put his name on the cover of Winning Marriage. It’s a book about the thus far successful...

Executive was mad about reporter publishing details of recent sexual, physical assaults on passengers by drivers Uber is at the center of a bizarre firestorm of controversy after one of its senior executives appeared to reveal plans to spy on and harass the families of reporters who criticize its smartphone-driven taxi/ride-sharing service. SNIP--- At the dinner, senior executive Emil Michael -- who apparently thought he was speaking off the record -- told those within earshot of potential plans to hire spies to stalk and harass journalists who dared criticize his darling company. “Well, let me say this, I mean, I don't get the celebration. I mean, OK, maybe it's a low bar … so they're not witches and defenders of rape,” he said. All against immigration reform, all denying climate change, all against gay marriage, all against funding things like education and transportation and jobs,” he said. “This is not people that are going to win, you know, the middle of the electorate or the emerging parts of the electorate.”

In response to a Freedom of Information Act request filed last summer by Judicial Watch, the Obama administration last week released 41 documents related to the attacks on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012. An email from the deputy national security adviser, Ben Rhodes, has received most of the attention. In it, Rhodes laid out four goals for Susan Rice, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, who would be appearing on five Sunday talk shows 36 hours later. “To convey that the United States is doing everything that we can to protect our people and facilities...

Scandal: Newly obtained emails on Benghazi show then-U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice was coached by a key White House aide to lie and ignore the facts known and reported on the ground to make the administration look good. The question of how the video story was concocted out of whole cloth, by whom and why, and why it was trumpeted by Rice, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama himself with such fervor at the United Nations has remained unanswered until now. That the White House's main concern in the wake of an attack in which four Americans were murdered...

Basically there’s been quite a shake – up in the White House and the Democrats and George Soros are doing the shaking. They’ve been the brunt of all Obama’s political blunders and have grown weary of their Commander in Chief’s screw upsfor the past five years. Senate and House Democrats are venting their frustrations over the ACA and worried that if it keeps self -destructing theNovember 2014 Elections are going to be a nightmare for Democrats. President Barack Obama’s signature healthcare law will “work really well” by 2017, former White House senior advisor David Plouffe said Sunday. “This program was designed to be implemented by the states, and in most of the states that are running their exchanges, it’s going quite well,” Plouffe told George Stephanopoulos on ABC’s “This Week.” “You talked about Medicaid expansion,” Plouffe continued. “I think it’s just a fact, and it may take until 2017 when this president leaves office, you’re going to see almost every state in this country running their own exchanges eventually and expanding Medicaid. And I think it’ll...
