Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell can move forward after the Supreme Court on Monday declined to consider Lindell’s attempt to block the case. No vote count was made public. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson did not take part in consideration of the case. Dominion is seeking $1.3 billion in damages, claiming it was harmed by unfounded statements from Lindell and other allies of former President Donald Trump that Dominion rigged its machines in favor of Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election. Lindell has denied any wrongdoing. Lindell was appealing a lower court ruling that previously...

Ah the PBS-Politco Democratic presidential debate. The only contest in which the usage of the phrase “pillow fight” generates excitement. No, really. GLAAD, the speech Stasi for all things LGBT, blasted Politico for using the phrase in reference to a less-than-brutal debate exchange between South Bend, Indiana Mayor Buttigieg (who is gay) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (who isn’t an Indian), claiming it “offended people.” Sad to say, that’s how boring a major party’s presidential debates really are. And how hypersensitive are the armies of the woke. GLAAD, of course, stands for “Gays & Lesbians Angry About Dat.” Yesterday, dat was...

What started as a lighthearted tradition meant to build camaraderie, transformed into chaos on Aug. 20 when the United States Military Academy at West Point’s annual pillow fight turned bloody, leaving 30 freshmen injured, investigators said Wednesday. Nicknamed “plebes,” first-year students are responsible for organizing the pillow fight, held almost every year since 2001.

Weaponized pillows. That's a new one. I’m not much for “spirit events” - and I’ve never been in the Armed Forces - so don’t take my lack of familiarity as disdain for the idea in general. I suppose a bunch of soldiers-in-training standing around a courtyard whamming each other with pillows could be fun. It’s probably not the sort of thing that makes the Russians cower in fear, but then again maybe they watch it with envy because they only “spirit” in their army is the one of fear over being sent to the gulag if they screw something up....

For generations, freshmen cadets at the United States Military Academy have marked the end of a grueling summer of training with a huge nighttime pillow fight that is billed as a harmless way to blow off steam and build class spirit. But this year the fight on the West Point, N.Y., campus turned bloody as some cadets swung pillowcases packed with hard objects, thought to be helmets, that split lips, broke at least one bone, dislocated shoulders and knocked cadets unconscious. The brawl at the publicly funded academy, where many of the Army’s top leaders are trained, left 30 cadets...

Here is raw video of a huge pillow fight that took place at the Washington Monument in observance of International Pillow Fight Day, April 3, 2010. Maybe this is what members of Congress should do once a week! Wouldn't that be a sight to behold?
