David Dreier (R-CA) issued the following statement regarding John Kerry’s visit to California: "America's economy is on a tremendous upswing, with the fastest growth in nearly 20 years. California has 110,200 more jobs than a year ago, and our economy created 23,600 jobs last month alone. California's unemployment rate dropped to 6.2 percent in 2003, significantly less than the state’s average rate of 7.3 percent in the 1990s.
