Bill O'Reilly prefaces his introduction to President Bush's interview saying he will "be complete" and "the Presidents' answers will be in their totality". I appreciate that Bill but why do you need to introduce spin to the words which come straight from the POTUS? We don't need a Democratic mouthpiece to tell us what President Bush just said directly to us! "That sir is the essence of spin!" Wake up Bill and get back on track, No Spin.

Dems running an ad before interview even seen. Doesn't O'reilly have to approve this??

I guess some people just have a different point of view but why do people hate Bill O'Reilly? I've watched him for a long time and I've read all his books. I have been unable to watch his program for the last month, has he done something wrong?

(CBS) Who is Bill O'Reilly? Is he a patriot? A blowhard? A braggart? A bully? Well, it turns out, there's a lot more to him than any of that. When Correspondent Mike Wallace sat down with him recently, O'Reilly said it was going to be the last time he would talk about himself on TV. And he began with a surprise. "You know, you're responsible for this O'Reilly deal," he said to Wallace. "And I always tell everybody, 'You got a problem with me? You call Mike Wallace. He's responsible for the O'Reilly deal.'" "What are you talking about?" asks...

Just a reminder if anyone wants to watch, as we've previously discussed his upcoming appearance. I haven't watched 60 Minutes in about 10 years, but I found that it's on 7 p.m. ET (where I live, at least).

did ya'll hear him just now?? he is setting the interviews with our President up, as if the President dodged questions.... "I asked him the questions, how I come across, how he comes across the folks will decide".. "You cant ask the POTUS, you cant badger him....if I ask a question and he avoids an answer, I asked him again.. and if he avoids it a second time I just had to let it go.." he says the 60 minute interview will be fair to him, he hopes....he has no idea he has just ticked off 90% of the people...

On Sunday's "60 Minutes" during which he is interviewed by longtime CBS newscaster Mike Wallace, Fox News Commentator Bill O'Reilly comes out with some surprising comments. He says he is pro-gun control, anti-death penalty, for civil unions and for gay adoption, (as a last resort instead of state custody). And he won't necessarily vote for President Bush in November. I've known (Democratic presidential nominee John) Kerry for 25 years. He's a patriot. I'm listening to what he has to say," O'Reilly says.

James Carville, the man who said Zell Miller was probably drugged while delivering the RNC keynote address, deserves a little scrutiny of his own recent actions and associations.Carville and CNN stand to benefit from CBS's plummeting ratings. Carville's friends, the Clintons, stand to benefit from the defanging of any Kerry attacks on Bush's national guard service. He has connections to Burkett's lawyer, Van Os. He's got connections to Joe Lockhart.

Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly has not ruled out voting for John Kerry, he says in a "60 Minutes" interview airing Sunday. He also says he supports gun control, civil unions and gay adoption. That's according to an interview with Mike Wallace for the Sept. 26 edition, at least according to a release from 60 Minutes. The release reads: "Long a favorite of conservatives, O'Reilly's stances on big issues came as a surprise to Wallace, as did his answer to whether he would vote for George W. Bush. When asked if he would vote for President Bush, O'Reilly left open...

...O'Reilly's combativeness and array of rhetorical gambits make getting a word in edgewise nearly impossible for guests on his show, let alone beating him. [snip]...The basic rules for beating O'Reilly go like this: Be a Giant If You Can ... It's not easy to simulate the inner confidence of Hersh, Brill, or Napolitano while on national television, but it won't hurt to try. Share the New York Studio With Bill O'Reilly tends to bully and dismiss guests who appear via remote camera hundreds of miles away. If you can swing it, go to New York and appear on the show...

Kerry/Oreilly interview replay of 2001. Couldn't find it on the FNC/Oreilly site...this would be really good material to have available.

President Bush Enters the No Spin Zone By: Bill O'Reilly for BillOReilly.com Thursday, Sep 23, 2004 President Bush doesn't really like the press and with good reason. The media "gotcha game" has been elevated to almost hysterical levels, and any mistake or misstatement by a President is front page news. Would you want to walk a high wire everyday? So the President rarely gives in-depth interviews, and his press conferences are held to a minimum. One on one, Mr. Bush is an engaging guy, but it's tough to be relaxed when every word you say is parsed and dissected. Unlike...

On tonight's Factor show, you, Billy O'Reilly referred to the Swiftvets, in your usual condescending tone, as "those Swiftboat people". I know it's hard to conceal your disdain for these distinguished Veterans. However, for the record Bill, the following terms are acceptable: Swiftvets, Swiftboat Veterans, Swiftboat Veterans For Truth. Try to work the word "Veteran" in there. They earned it, despite what you may think. If you cannot bring yourself to call these noble men Veterans, I think calling them Swifties is acceptable as John O'Neill uses that term.Show some respect for the men who fought to make this a...

New York Daily News - http://www.nydailynews.com Lefty press is soft on terror Monday, September 20th, 2004 What are we to make of The New York Times' describing terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi as a "Jordanian militant"? I mean, this guy is one of the most vicious Al Qaeda thugs in the world; right now he's behind much of the violence in Iraq and has been active in the worldwide terror network since at least 1990. On June 17, a U.S. intelligence official provided my researcher Nate Fredman with the following information: In early 2000, Zarqawi traveled to Afghanistan to assume a...

This Time Bill O'Reilly Got It Right F a stopped clock is right twice a day, why shouldn't Bill O'Reilly be right at least once in a blue moon? When Fox News's most self-infatuated star attacked CNN for keeping James Carville and Paul Begala as hosts on "Crossfire" after they had joined the Kerry campaign, he fingered yet another symptom of the decline and fall of the American news culture. "In the wake of the vicious attacks on Fox News for allegedly being `G.O.P. TV,' I expected the media to brutally dismember CNN and the new boys on John Kerry's...

'Rathergate' Delivers More Blows to Media Monopoly Friday, September 17, 2004 By Bill O'Reilly The changing of the media guard. The fallout over the document fiasco at CBS News (search) is having unintended consequences all over the place. A lead editorial in "The Wall Street Journal" today says, "The widespread challenge to Dan Rather's reporting, to his credibility, means that the liberal media establishment has ceased to set the U.S. political agenda." This is potentially a big cultural moment. For decades liberal media elites were able to define current debates by all kicking in the same direction, like the Rockettes...
