On tonight's Factor show, you, Billy O'Reilly referred to the Swiftvets, in your usual condescending tone, as "those Swiftboat people".
I know it's hard to conceal your disdain for these distinguished Veterans. However, for the record Bill, the following terms are acceptable: Swiftvets, Swiftboat Veterans, Swiftboat Veterans For Truth. Try to work the word "Veteran" in there. They earned it, despite what you may think. If you cannot bring yourself to call these noble men Veterans, I think calling them Swifties is acceptable as John O'Neill uses that term.
Show some respect for the men who fought to make this a free country where you're allowed to speak your mind to the masses everyday.
Bill O'Reilly? Is that one of those Factor People?
I stopped watching O'Reilly a long, long, long time ago. Give me Neil Cavuto any day.
He still has a tv show?
Fire the Leprechaun and put Michael Savage in his place.
O'Reilly doesn't have any honor-- that's why he doesn't recognize it in others.
Bill O'Reilly is a waste of oxygen.
O'Reilly? Is he on CBS?
I tried to like Savage. I really did. Never happened. The guy is about as appealing as gnawing on tinfoil.
The Leprechaun probably thinks he's connecting with "the folks" by using such language.
These great men deserve to be referred to by their real name.
O'Reilly is just insecure and has no other way to deal with it. Maybe some day he will grow up.
Savage didn't piss all over the SwiftVets the way the Leprechaun did.
Pisses me off that Bush rewarded him with an interview. Why not Brit Hume?
The Leprechaun probably thinks he's connecting with "the folks" by using such language.
Probably. He said it with that sideways tip of the head. He's not good at hiding his contempt.
It's a way of deliberately disrepecting and demeaning these combat veterans.
Think O'gasbag ever wore the uniform? LOL
That is a sticking point with me, too. I also heard that O'Reilly practically kissed Michael Moore's sweaty, hairy ass when he had him on the show. Ugh.
Pisses me off that Bush rewarded him with an interview. Why not Brit Hume?
No argument there. Hume would have been a distinct improvement.
It bugs me too. Bush is probably going with him because the Factor is so highly rated.
I agree that Hume would be a great choice. I also like Tony Snow and John Kushink(spelling?), the guy from the Heartland show.
You're exactly right, but I'd have never known. I quit watching B.O. when he summarily dismissed the Swiftees with no basis or reason and before he had read the book.
"Bill O'Reilly? Is that one of those Factor People?"
Well, he is no longer a factor in MY life.
I tuned him out 4 months ago.
Of course, he didn't. He spent time in Nicaragua as a journalist-- and he was probably a Sandinista guy.
Do we know if he was there when Kerry and Harkin went to lick Ortega's boots?
