...Last Tuesday was primary day in Arizona and Nevada, and we think the results deserve a little more national publicity because they revealed some useful political lessons. To wit: immigration doesn't win elections but the tax issue does. Two Arizona incumbents, Republicans Jim Kolbe and Jeff Flake, faced primary challenges resulting from their position on immigration. Both back sensible reform of our immigration system. Both support President Bush's call for a guest-worker program to match willing foreign workers with U.S. employers and draw illegal aliens out of the dangerous underground economy. And as a result of these views, Messrs. Kolbe...

The way Dana Christensen sees it, she and her husband got scammed. In early 2001, seven years after Doug had successfully battled bone cancer, the couple needed new health insurance. So they were all ears when a representative from a group called the National Association for the Self-Employed knocked on the door of Doug's boat repair business in Marina del Rey, Calif. The rep offered what sounded like a great deal: For just $434 a month, MEGA Life & Health Insurance Co. would cover them both. The policy even carried a chemotherapy rider in case Doug's cancer came back.

O'Reilly supposed to have O'Neill on ... thus far 1st segment with Dickie Morris, 2nd segment with DNC spinmeister.
-
He must have experienced some kind of epiphany after treating O'Neill and The Swifties like a bunch of lepers
-
Hope O'reilly does a good job.

It's time to make your voice heard. Tell politicians, policy makers and media executives how you feel about social and current affairs. Get your opinions out there - make a difference.

No question that President Bush has regained some momentum in his quest to retain power. The Iraq war defense put forth by Rudy Giuliani and John McCain at the Republican convention actually silenced media critics for a few days, and the populist Arnold Schwarzenegger painted Bush as an effective, inclusive leader. But world events also have helped the President. As terror rises all over the place, it becomes increasingly difficult for the Bush haters to diminish the President's own hatred for the "evildoers." Iraqi terrorists slaughter a dozen waiters from Nepal. Chechen terrorists took little children hostage and blow up...

On Thursday night's O'Reilly Factor, FNC's Bill O'Reilly celebrated the fact that the 8-year-old cable news network garnered a larger audience for the second and third nights of the Republican convention than did the ABC, CBS or NBC broadcast networks, a first. But CBS anchor Dan Rather blamed the poor ratings on the fact that CBS reporters didn't have much time to comment on the speeches, although he touted his own network as a better way for politicians to reach "independent or swing voters." The New York Times' Bill Carter solicited reaction to the fact that Fox News Channel was...

Bill O'Reilly read a letter on air from "Jack Mehoffer", which is awfully close to the ol' gag name "Jack Mehoff." Watch the video to decide if this is a gag or just an unfortunate name. (((VIDEO AT DAILY RECYCLER)))

How Would You Like to Meet This Guy? BERLIN (Reuters) - A man caught having sex with a blow-up doll in a busy public shopping arcade had to be physically parted from his rubber lover and escorted away, said police in Stuttgart Wednesday. The 38-year-old man was caught with his trousers down early Monday evening after alarmed witnesses alerted the police. "It was real, he was caught in mid-action with the doll," said a press spokeswoman. Police said that they had considerable difficulty separating the drunken man from his partner.

A ratings battle between two Pittsburgh radio stations will pit Rush Limbaugh against Bill O'Reilly. Currently featured on KDKA-AM, a legendary broadcasting powerhouse, Limbaugh will switch to WPGB-FM as of November 15. The station is owned by Clear Channel, which syndicates Limbaugh's radio show. O'Reilly's show will be moving to KDKA from WPTT-AM. To replace Limbaugh, KDKA will air Bill O'Reilly's radio show now broadcast by WPTT-AM. Limbaugh's show runs from noon to 3:00 p.m. and O'Reilly's show airs from noon to 2:00 p.m. putting the two face-to-face for two hours. "We're seeing this titanic battle between these two...

Covering a political convention is kind of like watching a porn film; you know what's going to happen by its very definition. My coverage of the Democratic convention in Boston brought tears to the eyes of some television critics who loudly wailed that I was an irresponsible cad for not broadcasting the prime-time speeches on my program. This, of course, is nonsense. Why would I waste time on partisan presentations? My job is to analyze what is going on - not let politicians bloviate unchecked. The speeches, of course, are broadcast on other TV outlets, as they should be. If...

Why would O'Reilly give Bono air play to discuss politics during the Republican National Convention?
-
Ok, I haven't watched Bill O'Reilly in a loooong time as I tired of his bloviating. Switching around channels tonight I accidently came across his show. I was surprised. He was calm, articulate, and actually made sense! When did he get this new persona, I like it. I must say his appearance has changed somewhat since I last watched. I like the new personality and the new look. It's good to have an O'Reilly I can stomach!

Lifelong Democrat and former New York Mayor Ed Koch tells Bill who he’s voting for in this presidential election, and the answer may surprise you! Don’t miss this.

The O'Bloviator told a Democratic strategist on his show tonight that he wants to give Kerry sage advice. The segment was title, "Advice to Kerry" He told the RAT that Kerry should hold a press conference to answer all questions regarding the Swiftboat issue. After that, he said, Kerry should refuse further comment and tell those who ask to refer to his record on the matter.O'Reilly said that Kerry should hold the press conference in the middle of the Republican Convention. I couldn't believe it. Actually I can. He's made it clear that he finds the ads in poor taste...
