Bill O'Reilly finally said it. He's looking out for Kerry.

Posted on 08/25/2004 8:54:11 PM PDT by Jenya

The O'Bloviator told a Democratic strategist on his show tonight that he wants to give Kerry sage advice. The segment was title, "Advice to Kerry"

He told the RAT that Kerry should hold a press conference to answer all questions regarding the Swiftboat issue. After that, he said, Kerry should refuse further comment and tell those who ask to refer to his record on the matter.

O'Reilly said that Kerry should hold the press conference in the middle of the Republican Convention. I couldn't believe it. Actually I can. He's made it clear that he finds the ads in poor taste and doesn't agree with Kerry's war record being challenged.

O'Reilly has turned this into an issue of hypocrisy, stating that the left has no right to express outrage since they've been smearing Bush for a year (on last night's show). O'Reilly is trying to play both ends. Satisfy the left by condemning the ads, and attempt to satisfy the right by calling the left hypocrites. I'm sure he's been feeling the heat.

But he said it. He told the RAT tonight that, "I'm looking out for Kerry by giving him this advice." The fact that he would suggest that Kerry hold a press conference in the middle of the Republican Convention tells me everything that I need to know about this liberal dressed in independent's clothing. He is soooo for Kerry. My cat can see that.

I heard him say that Kerry should have a press conference during the Republican convention. I thought to myself, seems like O'reilly wil be voting for kerry. By the way, imo, kerry can give a press conference whenever he wants and nbc, cbs, abc, will most definitely be there

Jim Quinn of The War Room said that O'Reilly is looking to get Kerry on his program for an interview.

That's probably why he has been so obvious about trying to suck up to the Kerry campaign ever since the SwiftVets ad went public.

You're right. If Kerry held a press conference during Bush's acceptance speech, the alphabet press would cover Kerry.

I saw that.

Why isn't O'Reilly asking Kerry to sign the 180, releasing his military records, if he has nothing to hide?

I cannot figure out why anyone still watches the pompous ass.

I stopped 3 years ago. He was different when he first started out.

Ann Coulter summed him up beautifully in her piece, today.

Awesome, O'Reilly needs to get knocked off his high horse. His recent actions will prove his undoing.

O'Really needs to go bye-bye and be replaced by someone intelligent, informed, and interested in refuting the TOUGH interviewees. It seems to me that he really goes after people on issues that don't matter, then caves or softballs any IMPORTANT issue, like the Swifties. I think he pretents to be conservative on the small stuff, then sandbaggs the tough issues on purpose.

O'Reilly is a social liberal.

He believes that "making nice" is righteous even though Kerry is evil and the worst thing that could happen to our country.

I'll have to go look for her article.

Bill O'Reilly is a future has-been.

And get a load of O'Reilly's poll question. "Are you sick of the Swiftboat Issue?"

How about asking, "Do you think the Swiftvets have a right to the First Ammendment?"

Newsflash to O'Reilly. Yesterday, we conservatives made you who you THINK you are today. Lose us, and you'll return to the MSM mongrel pound - where you'll be indistinguishable from all the other leftist media hacks awaiting the final Kerry Kool-Aid solution.

I wouldn't be too harsh on ol' Bill just yet. Given the choice, he'd still take Bush over Kerry. He just happens to have a personal problem with the Swiftees.

He's wrong, but I'm not going to start after the guy just yet. His track record may be wishy-washy sometimes, but he's still better than 95% of the media out there.

I think he'll start coming around after the convention. He knows when to rant and when to man the guns.

O'Reilly is just another pathetic media whore who will say anything to get an interview. It's all about O'Reilly. He would sell his soul to the devil if it would insure an interview with Kerry.

Yeah, and did you hear Susan Turnbull's answer? She said she and some others had talked to Kerry about this stuff and that she didn't think he should answer any questions! She's the DNC vice-Chair? No wonder they're floundering!
