Hi, I'm Bill O'Reilly. Thank you for watching us tonight. John Kerry's dilemma, that is the subject of this evening's "Talking Points" memo. A new "Newsweek (search)" poll says President Bush's job approval rating has slipped to 42 percent, the lowest of his tenure in office. However, the same poll says that the president and John Kerry remain tied in their race for the top job. Now you would think Kerry would be surging ahead because the president is saddled with chaos in Iraq and punishing prices for gasoline, but that's not the case. Why? Two reasons. First, Senator Kerry's...

For once, let's hear it for the good guys. If every country in the world fought terrorism as aggressively as the USA and Great Britain, the truly bad guys would be beaten down, perhaps forever. But hoping that the nations of the world will respond cohesively to the savagery and potential mass destruction of modern terror is a lost cause. We live in a world of denial and self-interest. You have as much chance of finding the Wizard of Oz as you do persuading some timid and misguided countries to join the fight against the Islama-fascists. Even countries like Canada...

Yeah? Well, My Agent Can Beat Up Your Agent • Keith Olbermann, the offbeat sportscaster-turned-offbeat news anchor, goes gonzo in his criticism of a competitor in the June issue of FHM magazine, which hit the stands yesterday. Keith Olbermann: A "tortured soul." (Courtesy MSNBC) "The key thing that's left out of Bill O'Reilly's career is that he got to where he is by being an abject failure at every step. He was kind of the buffoon of local news in New York and in Boston," the host of MSNBC's "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" tells the mag. "Bill O'Reilly is not...

Since many of the powerful, famous and rich in America have perfected the technique of spin and run, I am enlisting you, the reader, to please ask these people the following questions if you happen to see them at Wal-Mart or something. To President Bush: Since CIA chief George Tenet presided over the bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, the failure to stop 9/11, the failure to find Iraqi WMD's and finally the gross underestimating of post-war problems in Iraq, why does Tenet still hold his job? To Donald Rumsfeld: Why did you not inform your boss, the President,...

Cartoonist Ted Rall says he has received hundreds of death threats over a comic he did this week that satirized the media's response to the death of Pat Tillman, the former pro-football player killed in Afghanistan. ... Some 300 of the messages threatened Rall with "death or bodily harm," he said, and he also said he had received several death threats by phone. Universal Press Syndicate, which distributes Rall's comics to about 70 newspapers, has received several e-mails from readers who objected to the content of the comic, spokeswoman Kathie Kerr said.

It's someone's fault I appeared on The O'Reilly Factor on Fox News Tuesday night to discuss a column I wrote welcoming the presence of American deserters in Canada. So who's responsible? Either Globe and Mail TV critic John Doyle, the Dalai Lama or me. Eeny meeny miney mo, Doyle. Mr. Doyle, a dear friend — together we have plucked the gowans fine — has long campaigned for Fox News to run in Canada. I think he regards it as a second Comedy Network. It's all staged, so we can all laugh at its Bush-licking rendition of the news, its ridiculous...

I can't stand the guy anymore, Niall Ferguson is kicking his butt and Bill keeps repeating the same thing over and over again about the poll that Iraqis are against an occupation. He is borderline Jane Fonda in my opinion and I am going to find another show to watch in his time slot. I can't take him anymore.

John Doyle, well into his allotted 15 minutes south of the border, went toe-to-toe with Fox News' Bill O'Reilly and his ilk. Now he finds himself swamped with notes from sympathetic Americans who are frankly embarrassed for some of their countrymen Let's start with a conclusion. The Fox News Channel, its chief ranter Bill O'Reilly and the channel's rabid followers are the lunatic fringe of the American culture.I can say this with certainty because I've now got an earful from O'Reilly several times over, but I've also heard from thousands of American readers who view Fox News and O'Reilly with...

Iraq aftermath a mess Virtually every Fox News military analyst believes that the Department of Defense has screwed up the aftermath of the Iraq war, yet Rumsfeld won't give a straight answer as to why this happened. Bill speaks to Fox News analyst Newt Gingrich. Media vs. President Bush There is a strong liberal bias in the elite media, and plenty of new books and movies to be released just prior to the election is the proof. Bill speaks to Greg Mueller, President of Creative Response Concepts, a PR agency.

State Rep. Jennifer Carroll on Saturday told a joke about U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton. Carroll quiet in wake of joke Democrats have raised a stink, called for apology after crack about Clinton. By STEPHEN MAJORS The Times-Union State Rep. Jennifer Carroll, R-Green Cove Springs, is not commenting further after defending a joke she made Saturday about U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y. At the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Miami Beach, Carroll said Clinton was visited by the ghosts of Presidents Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln. According to The Associated Press, the joke had Clinton asking each president what she could do...

Was listening to Bill O'Reilly's Radio Factor. He did a story on the left-leaning groups behind some of the "9/11 families". He then interviewed Matthew Continetti who wrote the article (http://www.weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/Articles/000/000/003/854qqwpu.asp) leading to O'Reilly's investigation. My point, if I ever get to it, is that on tonight's O'Reilly Factor there'll be a segment on which will include discussions of groups such as Peaceful Tomorrows, The Tides Foundation, etc.

Sent the following email to Mr. O'Reilly a few minutes ago.I was surprised that you made a reference on this evening's program to the late J. Edgar Hoover wearing a dress. Even your friends at the New York Times know better than that. On June 25, 1998, the Times printed a retraction: "Editors' Note An art review in Weekend on May 22 about the exhibition 'Police Pictures: The Photograph as Evidence' at the Grey Art Gallery in Greenwich Village discussed the inherent fascination of such photos and how the viewer's subjectivity makes them unreliable as evidence. In discussing a publicity...

Did anyone just see the Dick Morris interview? Morris said Kerry would be an appeaser to the terrorists, and O'reilly said something to the effect of "nah, he will be hard on them, he's a very smart man". Disgusting. I have suspected this for months about O'reilly, he seems to try to be "nice" to the senator to get him back on the show, but this was over the line. Kerry has made not even the remotest suggestion about what he will do to combat terrorism, so this, along with Bill's constant bush bashing as of late convinces me that...

President Bush is facing increasing dissent among leading conservative politicians and pundits in the face of mounting U.S. casualties in Iraq. The war has become the long slog that some Republicans feared. Since Sunday, 32 Americans have been killed in fighting across Iraq. American body bags are on the front page of major U.S. newspapers. The Washington Post and The New York Times brandished images of charred U.S. civilian remains last week. The networks are leading their nightly news broadcasts with stories of dead Americans. "If we have two or three more weeks of this you are going to start...

WASHINGTON (Talon News) -- Last week, radio talk show host G. Gordon Liddy told Paul Begala and Tucker Carlson of CNN's Crossfire that he would like "a shot at Bill O'Reilly," after he was asked what conservative would he most like to take on during the 'rapid fire' segment of the show. This came a day after Liddy appeared on Deborah Norville Tonight and said, "O'Reilly is an embarrassment to our side," answering questions regarding O'Reilly's style on radio and television. Liddy's remarks were made during interviews with the veteran host alongside Al Franken, a host of the new liberal...

Fox News Channel host Bill O'Reilly and nationally syndicated radio host G. Gordon Liddy are blasting each other in a mini-feud ignited by media libs Paul Begala and Al Franken. The stone-throwing apparently started Thursday night, when Begala, hosting "Crossfire," asked Liddy about why his Westwood One colleague O'Reilly "hasn't done very well on radio." Citing a year-old Drudge report, Liddy said the top-rated cable TV host's radio ratings are "in the toilet." "He really doesn't do radio well at all," the G-Man added. Friday afternoon, Liddy guested on Al Franken's radio show, where both hosts took shots at O'Reilly....

I've been listening to Hannity's April Fools' show today and once the jig was up he was reiterating that he'd never change his positions around like Kerry. He then made reference to someone else "in this business" who changes their position solely based on what they think will be beneficial to them or get them publicity. For some reason, the first guy who popped into my mind was O'Blowhard. When I think of completely self-serving talk radio hosts he's usually number one on the list. You think he was taking a jab at O'Reilly or someone else???
