The boyfriend of slain American Kayla Mueller nearly saved her life from ISIS — but she foiled her own rescue by failing to lie to the killer terrorists. The Arizona woman’s boyfriend, Syrian photographer Omar Alkhani, said he had pledged to risk his life to save her. Alkhani explained a plan in which, if she were ever taken by ISIS, he would claim to be her Muslim husband and she would be freed, because ISIS will not hold a Muslim man’s wife hostage, according to the Mail on Sunday.
