The White House released the text of the president's message early to defuse any potential charges that Obama would give a political speech to the nation's school children. Two years ago, some conservatives accused Obama of bringing politics into the classroom with a similar back-to-school speech. President Obama's Speech - Wednesday Sept. 28th @ 10:30 a.m. President Obama will give his third annual address to students across the country. He will share comments regarding the importance of education. The broadcast is scheduled to be televised on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 10:30 a.m. Arizona time. Barack Obama's school speech has come and gone. The content of the speech is irrelevant at this juncture, as he has had ample time to revise the content after the barrage of criticism received by parents concerning this speech--there is no legitimate way to know the original content, or if it differs from the final version.

I was at the tea party in Southaven MS yesterday, and a speaker said he will of course speak to his own children about responsibility and staying in school. That made me wonder if the Obama girls will be hearing this speech in thier own classromms this Tuesday? A good father would demand thier children would hear such needed prose! I just got off the phone with the superindentent's office of schools in Desoto county MS. A letter will be going out today for parent approval for your children to hear the Obama speech. The school don't have cable, but teachers will show it over the internet. Under no circumstances will children be shown it though without parental ok.
